I think I have 10 full points, but they're not all filled up yet. I'd say I have 2 points in the beauty catagory, and 8 points in the intelligence catagory that aren't filled up. I have potential.. I really have my genious moments at times... Mostly though, I just wander around trying to figure out what I should be doing. I think I'll go wander around aimlessly in a very small room now. (and they think I'm joking)

The movie's called Defending Your Life. Is it human arrogance to assume that we must have souls? Isn't this thing we call a soul simply electric impulses firing in our brains? I think when you die, you simple cease to be.

Oh good, I was dreading that you'd say surface mail. See, when the post office tells you it takes 4 weeks, they're flat out lying. I got dooped into sending something surface mail once (before I moved here. Juni needed koolaid)... I swear I got here before it did. That's a relief. Thanks

As usual, the Finns were forgotten. How hard would it have been to put the Finnish flag next to the Swedish one? I suppose 50 Finns missing because they were to attend a meeting at the WTC doesn't mean much to the rest of the world.. I'm not even Finnish, and that pisses me off.. GSM, Nokia, Saunas, Santa Claus.. all brought to you by that country made famous by the Monty Python song, Finland.

I ordered my t-shirt and hat like the day after the t-shirts and hats were launched, and still haven't gotten them. Since I'm in Finland.. what method of shipping did you use? I'm just hoping it wasn't surface mail, or else it'll probably take 6 months or more. No, really. Surface mail sucks. I think they toss your packages in the water, and they're collected here once they reach the shore.

Yeah, there was some poor Muslim woman who had rocks thrown at her in Espoo (more or less a Helsinki suburb), and that is so not right. Yes there are plenty of Muslims from the middle-east here, there is even a Mosque within walking distance of our flat. But most of those people are refugees who wanted a better life for crying out loud. Unlike those terrosts, I can't just hate blindly.

If this happened to another country, we could all feel free to praise them and talk about that country's great qualities and good people. But this happened to America, so could all the jerks here (and you know who you are), please just let the Americans take their complement and move on? No one should have to apologize for their nationality.

As a Roman history buff, there is a point to what Zapp is saying. Whoever messed with Rome lived to regret it...or rather died to regret it. But I'd still not want to live in a Pax Romana (unless of course I was Roman). Terrorism is used in today's society because it works. But there are boundaries, and I think we just found one. There's a point where people say enough is enough. Of course I'm not in the US right now, but looking from afar, how can everyone be so sure who it is? I

Hey guys, I need a huge favor, and I'm hoping that maybe someone here can help me out. I'm studying international business at a college in Helsinki, and one of our requirements is that we have to interview someone in the field. The only problem is that I don't know anyone that does any form of business internationally, and cold calling businesses is turning up nothing. .. then I suddenly remembered the international community here, and figured it's definately worth a shot.

Great program.. that for some reason isn't "popular" enough to make it here, even though by the skin count at Devart, it's the most popular email checker. Go figure. It's great to finally see an update though. I wonder if they fixed the "Error messages only in French" bug.

My first initiation into an online community was at GlobalMUSH. Anyone remember Mushing? It's way cooler than IRC ever was. That was back in 93 or so, on a Tandy with no HD and a borrowed 1200baud modem. It's also where I first met Juni. It can still be found at telnet://tarsier.domain.net 4201, but it's kinda dead nowadays.

So let me get this straight. He finds about skinning and comes here to check it out. He likes what he sees and proceeds to download to his heart's content. He really gets into it and decides to buy Object desktop, which would seem to suggest that he's been through enough of the site to notice that you can sign up for a free account. He reaches his limit and gets really furious about the fact that he has to sign up for a free account. So.. just to show us he's not going to be dooped into

In the folder which contains the skin files for sputnik, there should be a font in there. Copy that font and go to your windows\font folder and paste it. Re-apply the skin in Windowblinds, and everything should look much better.

I'd have that done in a heartbeat myself if there weren't two strong cons against it.. Firstly, international shipping takes forever, but at least it's expensive...I don't wanna pay duties on my own Ipaq! But I suppose even that would be worth it if I didn't know something about myself.. I'm gonna get the next newest device as soon as it hits the shelves.. I can stand here and say I won't all I want... but I know I will. As for consumer laws, or lack thereof, the sad

Heh Doreen, that'd work in the US, but not in good ole Finland. I'll give you an example of this.. Juni's dad bought a new Sony tv... brought it home, and it simply didn't work. The store didn't have to take it back and didn't.. but they are required by law to get it fixed, and that's exactly what they did. Sony fixed it up, but he had to wait a week for something that shoulda worked out of the box. It's very difficult here to get a company to replace hardware outright without fixing it

Well I did call Compaq of course. I don't know if my battery issue is fixed, I'll need to test this further, but the digitizer is fixed.. which leaves a much worse dust issue than I originally had, and a bad stylus button that worked well originally ...and scratched case. Also the CF sleeve doesn't "click" into place anymore, but it still works. I need to investigate that further to make sure there aren't bent pins or something. Anyway, Compaq called me back and offered that if I sent i

Well I just got my Ipaq back from getting fixed, and it's worse... there's 5 bright glowing particles under the screen... right in the middle, the stylus doesn't work, they downgraded my rom version.. and to add insult to injury, scratched the casing. Am I wrong to demand a replacement unit? I know this isn't a PDA forum, but I feel really down that my favorite little peice of hardware actually came back worse than when I sent it in. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/image
