I haven't yet installed DesktopX yet. I heard Juni grumbling about this very thing, so I've been putting it off. I'll get around to it eventually though... But I'm shamefully theme-crazy, and since there aren't a lot of new total theme packages out there.. I can well put it off.

No, you're not the only one. In fact, my I8000 only looks good at 1600*1200. I've been lucky with my chosen walls, which have resized nicely so far, but sometimes a Windowblinds theme can just plain be unuseable.

I'll say Juni. He always tries to be different from everyone else, even in his KDE days. Even if we won't do that theme I've been pestering him for.. or add any winamp skins, he's my skinning hero. *bats eyelashes*

Doreen, as far as I can tell, there's only one homework program.. called Classmate by Pocket-Innovations. It looks pretty, but that's all. It's a 2mb vb file, and it's buggy. You find out only after paying 20 bucks for it that it doesn't handle it's db properly. After entering in more than 4 or 5 assignments, linking them with the right class, to the right professor to the right book just doesn't work, and to me this is the whole essence of the program. GRRR! Had to vent <img s

Well those other Skin malls are just too far from where I live. It's a really long drive for the mouse to go up to the Favorites menu, and I was here already. So how's about opening up an Ezpop store? (Sorry, couldn't resist. I had to try) <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" b

I am always leaving things behind. Never actually had a purse stolen though.. amazingly enough. However, at the seemingly high-class Swedish-speaking polytechnic I wasn't so lucky. I left my Palm Stowaway in a class accidently (during my Palm days), and it was gone when I returned. No one even had a Palm for crying out loud! That really sucked, but I suppose a wallet being stolen would be worse.

So anyone who voices an opinion here should just leave? Interesting.. what's with the bad moods. I mean, it's not exactly news that net geeks don't much like censorship. And Frank Leon, you can agree or disagree as is your right of course. I was just pointing out that Doreen was hardly attacking anyone, yet was made to apologize... for doing nothing more than saying her view. TomCruise was censored

I just love how a legitimate concern being voiced causes a war. Doreen voiced a concern. In a free-thinking society, that concern would be discussed, opinions voiced, people would agree or disagree...perhaps some constructive changes would happen... but that would be it. Instead, what do we have here? Just because you voice a concern or point out a potential problem doesn't make you anti-Wincusto. In fact, doesn't it make you for it? I wouldn't criticize the site unless I wanted it to d

I have to agree with Doreen too. I know that using an alias isn't too ethical, and you have every right to ban whoever you want for saying whatever you don't like.. But that's just it. You can say what you like, but it smells like he was banned because he said something Wincusto didn't like. That seems like censorship, and I can't be the only one who doesn't like it. If you're looking to cut bandwidth costs, censorship could be your solution. If you openly begin to censor, then

I can picture Wincusto in binary now.. Of course, going multilingual would entail users coming forward and volunteering to translate... I'm not saying that it would be fun, just cool if it ever got done. But don't look at me, I only speak English and some Finnish... both badly.

Just a crazy idea, and Lord knows I couldn't help with this, but aren't there skinners all over the world? It'd be nice to have Wincusto more internationally friendly.. to reflect that. There could be German, French, Swedish, Finnish, Spanish, and all other languages that people in this happy little community speak. Latin and Klingon don't count. Skinners around the world: Untie!

There is at least talk of a 3d Studio Max for PocketPc, so if it's not out already, it will probably be seen shortly.. And they still can't write a decent homework-tracking program for students. Hmpf!

"gimme one day w/ my IPAQ w/ any of you palm guys and you would never go back to your palms." As a former Palm user, listen to Doreen. I don't argue that the different OS's are for different people, but with newer Palms, they're just priced too high for there to be any competition at all. Why should I pay the same as for an Ipaq and get less? Makes no sense. However, I can obviously see where one of the "lesser" Palms would suit you if you weren't looking for everything and th

Yeah, there are modems for Palm, but not network cards. Doreen, sure I've seen those mods, but I'd have to send in my CF sleeve, or else pay and arm and a leg, and I'm in Finland. Since the release of the Toshiba and new Nec devices is so close, I figure I'll bide my time and wait. Yes yes, I know.. I'm a traitor. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle

For Juni when he wakes up.. Juni, speaking of being grumpy and Ipaq-less.. There seems to be a debate as to what Toshiba means when they say Integrated Microdrive. It could also mean they simply throw in a Microdrive.. which you already have. As to it being inside the device.. I'm skeptical. (b

Playing Devil's advocate again.. But ya gotta admit, having to add a huge CF sleeve in order to do anything cool is kind of annoying. Of course, what could I add to my Palm to make it connect to the net at adsl speeds? Don't worry about me, I'm just grumpy that I don't have my Ipaq.

My Ipaq actually recognizes my handwriting better than I do. For class notes I use the stowaway keyboard though.. there when I want it, and out of the way the rest of the time. The connector on it is very flimsy when compared to the Palm version though. Heh, at least my Ipaq knew my handwriting before the digitizer went south.. but it's getting fixed as we speak (hopefully).

Ya know what's silly? The price point for the m505. It's side by side at the local stores with the Ipaq... at the same freaking price! Uhh.. let's see which one has a brighter screen.. and which one does more. They priced the m505 too too high. I understand when someone would prefer the simplicity of the Palm.. but why make it just as expenesive as the Ipaq? Makes no sense at all.. If I were planning on buying a Palm, I'd take one look at that and buy an Ipaq instead. I know, because I've used a

My poor little Ipaq is in the shop.. getting cleaned of dust, more battery life, and a digitizer that works. Juni's didn't take as long to fix. Yup, that's right.. two people bought their Ipaqs on the same day, and both had huge QC issues. But we just couldn't bare to part with them until now. I'm currently a using Palm IIIe and trying to pretend it's an Ipaq.. heh. I love my Ipaq... until the Toshiba Genio is released <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" borde

Objectbar can do anything you want it to... except actually work right. Hey, I know it's beta, and it really is a great idea, and I'm sure that one day it will work. But it could actually be that you're doing everything right and still the thing doesn't work. It wouldn't be so frustrating if it wasn't such a great idea.
