Ok... since the posts seem to have ended.... I will explain The winners are: InBloom and Redbandana The reason? Apparently, 60-75% of people are supposed to answer "Red, Rose, Carrot". However, after reading what you all wrote, I don't think that's the case. My Psych. friend asked 175 people and didn't get a single red, rose, carrot and was amazed that two people had answered that way here. I was tempted to go into the Fre

Wow SHE, brave girl! It's good that you weighed the risk involved before jumping! I hope she didn't disappoint you and got her 'act' together or what you did was a waste. I've been down that road before! She actually hadn't done anything wrong. Our boss was constantly on her back or mine... she just took turns. I know people say that all the time when they really were doing bad things, but we honestly weren't. If we let the residents get away with a f

Oh I'm sorry sugar elf! I thought that maybe it could be since most bloggers will just post the test first and let one take it! No insult intended! I was kidding! I've posted a few points whore articles before... I'm not above it. and...um....fish as a veggie? I'm not going there...

So what are the psychological implications of someone who comes on a thread like this to inform the other participants that their choices are wrong? It probably means they were potty trained too young. I'm going to give this thread a little while longer... see if any more people reply... and then I'll explain what's going on.

This is borrowed from Wikipedia: I hope this will quell the arguments.... Fruit, Vegetable Since “vegetable” is not a botanical term, there is no contradiction in referring to a plant part as a fruit while also being considered a vegetable (see diagram below). Given this general rule of thumb, vegetables can include leaves (lettuce), stems (asparagus), roots (carrots), flowers (broccoli),

Oh dear lord. They're all vegetables for the sake of psychology! Stop getting snarky on my thread! (I love you all. I truly do. Please read the above with a voice filled with laughter. But at the same time, stop getting snarky on my thread.)

All will be revealed... in time. And no, I am not trying to be a points whore. I'm insulted by the insinuation. Ok, so I'm not insulted in the least. But I still maintain this is not a points whore thing. I'm helping a friend for her psychology homework. Keep those colors, flowers and veggies coming!

I'm not going to get into the politics. Instead, I'm going to answer the question: Yes, I have taken the fall for someone. And I would do it again... but only for a few people. The last time it happened, I was working with my best friend. She did something that, in a normal person's mind, was not bad at all. However, our boss was psycho and was on the war path. I had recently gotten out of the dog house and my friend was back in. Had sh

Quick! Name a color, a flower and a vegetable. Write down the first things that comes to mind. Don't read other people's responses first... just write down the VERY FIRST color, flower and vegetable that come to mind. Ready? Set? Go! (I'll explain what it "means" after I get some responses) <!

I wish I could stop sneezing right now... bloody allergies. If you're having dizzy/headache/no sneezing, my guess would be sinus problems as well. Get a little fluid in the inner ear, and I know my balance goes right out the window. I'm always afraid of getting pulled over while I have an ear infection and failing the sobriety tests simply because I can't keep my balance. My parents are teachers, so I've seen this happen. Fortunately for t

I did go to student health services. Trust me, I went the first day I could. I did use my illness to get out of choir. Unfortunately, I can't get out of the rest of my classes. I have to go, or I'll be behind. I may use my illness to get out of choir again on Thursday. Unfortunately, we're only allowed two sic

Thanks SanChonino. I just realized something... it is very difficult to take your temperature when you CAN'T BREATHE THROUGH YOUR NOSE! And don't even think about suggesting that I take my temperature like a baby, cause that ain't gonna happen.

This has been, quite literally, the week from hell. And it's only Tuesday. First, I got sick on Sunday. Cold turned sinus infection and ear infection. I can't breathe, I feel as though my head is going to explode, my throat is ripped to shreds, and my lungs are filling with fluid. Ok, so it may not be that bad... but that's how I feel. Next, scho

I know. Things have already gotten easier. I don't think about him every single waking moment. I still think about him probably once a day or so, but that isn't so bad. Thanks everyone. I've appreciated your feedback.

I think most of us agree that we don't want to see his stuff. An "Ignore" button would be perfect. He has, however, broken some of the rules (putting another blogger's name in the title of an article and profanity in the title of an article) which means that, should he continue to be a bad apple and break the rules, he should go. I like the community here, and his spamming trash makes it more difficult for me to find the good stuff. If I just had a

Actually, we did just cuddle that night/morning. We fell right to sleep (It was 5am, after all). We went to lunch that afternoon, and watched Clerks II. There was no sex then. I mean, we'd had booty calls before -- and there's nothing wrong with that. This wasn't one of them. I think, though, that he was trying to decide between me and her. He was trying to see if he really wanted to be with me. At least, that's what I think now. I thi

Thanks Tova... you always give good advice. Part of me is already thankful that we are no longer together. He was my best friend, the guy I told everything to, and it stinks that I can no longer speak to him, but at the same time, I stuck with him through the hard times he had. I was faithful and I was determined to be there for him. He just moved on without a word. It's hard to think that I still have feelings for him, and he doesn't seem

I told myself that I would not blog about my ex again. To be honest, I actually promised myself that I would not talk about him, talk to him, e-mail him, look him up and even try not to think about him. However, I can't seem to get this thought out of my head, and decided that I needed to write about it. So, here goes. My ex seems to fall in and ou

I suppose I could answer my own questions... I don't really blog anywhere else, but JU has a special quality. The sense of community is so nice. I enjoy getting feedback to my questions and my problems. It helps to have other people's opinions when I'm going through something or doing something. And I like being able to help others in the same way. I actually feel free-er here at JU to be myself. Only one person knows exactly who
