This is really great stuff. Thanks for sharing. Anyone else? Oh, and do you censor yourself? Do you make yourself look better than you truly are?

I'm taking a class on privacy right now, and we're discussing the fact that people seem very willing to "bare all", as it were, online. We tell stories about ourselves to perfect strangers that we might not tell people in our daily lives. People, especially teenagers, seem willing to tell everything and, at times, show everything. So, why do you blog? Do

There are some scholars that suggest the Hebrew was actually written, "And god re-created the heavens and the earth". By most, it is called the "Gap Theory". It basically states: There are a variety of interpretations of Genesis 1 that suggest there is a gap of time between verses 1 and 2 that is not explicitly mentioned. This general idea is known as the Gap Theory, though there is not just one “Gap Theory” but a number of similar theories. The pr

I bet you get a lot of teasing! You're added! Teasing, and disbelief. I'm used to telling people weeks ahead of time so they will believe me when I say, "It's my birthday!" Really annoying on my 21st birthday.

Here's the thing though... Bush might not be able to pick the "heir apparent" that he would want. According to the constitution: Amendment XXV - Presidential Disability and Succession. Ratified 2/10/1967. Note History 2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress. Now, I'm

All the crazies do come out during a full moon... I don't remember the last blue moon we had. I fully plan to do all sorts of strange and wonderful things that I say happen, "Only once in a blue moon"

I realized yesterday morning that I had no food to eat for breakfast. I have to have something, or I'll never make it through my classes. I ran to the convenince store across the street to buy some form of breakfast food. They didn't have much. The only thing I could find that I would eat was a box of (overly priced) Cap'n Crunch and a half gallon of mil

I don't think that's allowed either. Something to do with a child's privacy or something. But, again, that could vary state by state.

I need to get a life, but until then... Please don't get a life! I like reading random stuff that other people wrote for themselves... as long as it isn't trash and I can understand it and they don't stop by my site and leave random crap that doesn't have anything to do with what I wrote... Hold on a sec... What's that? I need a life too? Dang.

Seems to me with these teachers having all these "teacher workshop" days they take off for, they would have some checks and balances like this figured out to better regulate behavior patterns. Lunchtime and recess seems to me to be the perfect time when fights and/or bullying occur. You do realize that when they go to workshops, they are actually going to lectures, right? They are doing work, they aren't just playing on the lake during a day off.<

It's funny you say that. Actuall, this is an Honors College class, so we're even worse. We actually have jokes about the eugenics project our founder has going. They encourage freshmen to "get lost in the woods" at their retreat, we live in co-ed dorms, boys and girls living in rooms right next to each other... that sort of stuff.

Another *quick* example of misreading things online. A kid in my class described an online community where people wrote about health or mental problems they were having and the rest of the community chimmed in on possible causes. One man wrote, "I can't sleep anymore. Every time I try to fall asleep, I see a big monster coming at me from the dark." The first person wrote, "Go see a shrink. Sounds like *yadda yadda yadda* (I don't remember, and it's not that important) The n

You sound like the female version of me. Which is SCARY! VERY SCARY! I'm hoping you find a husband as understanding as my wife...lol! Oh my. There're more out there like me? I'm not sure if that's good or bad. And I hope so too. I'll snatch up any guy who seems able to put up with/ understand my nerdiness.

Maybe it was a really nice, really expensive car. Nah, he's probably an idiot. This is something I would expect from a teenager. "Hey mom, dad? I wrecked the car because two guys tried to kidnap me at gunpoing." But from a grown man? sheesh!

I don't make the lists! I just report them! Actually, I don't watch horror movies. They scare me too badly and I have to sleep with the light on. (Can't believe I just admitted that) If it's a slasher movie, she said those don't appear frequently on her list simply because she can't stomach them anymore. She apologized, but defended her choices.
