I was having the same problem. I cleared the wincustomize cookies and haven't had the problem again.

Joe you need to join the news server news.stardock.com. On that server are a whole slew of newsgroups for desktopx including stardock.desktopx, stardock.desktopx.binaries, stardock.desktopx.binaries.objects, stardock.desktopx.binaries.plugins, and stardock.desktopx.binaries.themes.

For the past few days I've noticed some weird behavior. My library preferences sometimes gets reset to the defaults. Sometimes I get logged out. I just posted a response to a thread. The first time it said I couldn't do it and have to have an account (yet the web page clearly showed that I was loggin in). When I tried it a second time it worked. Is this a server problem? Cookie problem? The fact that I access WC from two computers whose cookies may be confusing WC?<br

I dont know if this is related but I often find my library prefs on the right reset to the defaults, or on some pages, It appears that I'm signed off.

I assume the theme is a dxtheme. You could either add a dx taskbar and syst tray object. Or in the theme's settings, tell it to use the regular windows taskbar.

If you have Icon Packager installed, you can either double click an icon packager file to install it or from the Icon Packager program's file menu, select open package to browse to the icon package file and install it that way. Once it's installed, you can select it from the list view and press the Load button. Then press Ok to get out of Icon Packager. The package should now be applied to your icons.

My guess is that you're not running Windows XP. That screenshot shows the Windows XP taskbar skinned. The other versions of Windows only have the old taskbar so WindowBlinds can only skin that. What you need is ObjectBar. OB is a taskbar replacement that has the ability to mimic the Windows XP taskbar and start menu and use the Windows XP skin to skin itself.

Actually some nice Winstep themes have come out the past couple of days: Gillon's Beacon theme is wonderful. So is Agneva's Neat theme. I've also been runnng Valhalla's Flux for quite some time.

This seems to happen quite a bit on some people's computers. Instead of clicking it to download and install the skin, right-click it, select save as, save it to disk. Then double-click it in whatever directory you saved it to. This works for me.

Hey guys, I've done this before (may have used some utility to accomplish this, but I don't recall) how does one go about telling the OS NOT to display the little shortcut arrow on icons that represent shortcuts. It's unfortunate that the during the whole net explosion it conditioned a whole lot of people that everything should be free for their picking. There are other alternatives out there both free and not-free. Each has their pluses and minuses. Choose accordingly.
