Personally I like Media Jukebox. It does all the above, has real nice windows style interface and boatloads of useful features. The only caveat is that their licensing mechanism is pretty strict. But it sure is a nice package.

Lot's of folks ask about that particular skin. The only thing is, its a pre-Windows XP skin, so it does not skin the Windows XP taskbar and start menu.
JB, perhaps what you're seeing is task grouping (in which similar tasks (say, 3 instances of Internet Explorer) are represented by one task button. If you click the task button, you'll see a menu allowing you to select which instance to activate. You can disable task grouping by left-clicking the task bar and deselect the task grouping option. On the otherhand, if you're referring to the quick launch icons, you can resize the quick launch section of the taskbar to show
Oops. Looks like I'm wrong. TweakShell is also part of the full, registered version of IconPackager. I don't know how it's distributed as part of IconPackager, since I get it via Component Manager.
I don't think TweakShell is part of Icon Packager. It's separate utility that's part of Object Desktop (at least that's how it appears in the Object Desktop Componanet Manager).
You need the WindowBlinds program to use them. ObjectBar will not replace the WindowBlinds skin. What it can do is use the skin graphics contained in the WB skin that pertain to the XP-style taskbar and startmenu. The end effect is that the Windows will be skinned by WB, and OB will mimic the XP-style taskbar and startmenu.

Regarding the start menu, I take it you mean the XP start menu. It's not a problem of registration, it's problem regarding the OS you're using. If you're running WindowsBlinds on Windows XP, then yes WindowBlinds skins it. If you mean Windows 2000/NT/98/ME, then no it doesn't skin an XP style start menu, because those OS's don't have an XP start menu to in the first place. Assuming you have downloaded and installed the WindowBlinds program, download a WindowBlinds skin (it should have a .wba file extension. If the extension is .zip, then you can rename it to .wba) Double-click the .wba file and it will automatically install. Then go to your Windows Display Properties and look under either the Skins or Appearances tab. From the dropdown list, select the skin. Then press the Apply button.
You can't. It's not a WindowBlinds issue, it's a problem with the way Windows applies colors. Windows insists on using the same colors for text that appears in a window and text that appears on a dialog box. This plays havoc with dark colored skins in which you want to have a white or near white windows background but also want to have dark dialog boxes. It irritates me to no end that this happens. I already registered it It's just too damn useful to pass up. Saves me from the stupid repetive tasks of opening/navigating to files and folders. I've already got it set up to point to different different folders and files as my favorites, plus have it default to detailed view. Woot! woot!
