Oh, that sounds easy enough. Thanks.

Just go to www.weather.com find the city or place you're looking for and you'll see the code in the resulting URL. Some of the newer weather objects will allow you to enter your city name and country instead of the code.
Who would want to pass up the opportunity to skin and have a chance at winning some prizes?
Or a bank, "Dis is a stick up! Gimme da cash!"
Sounds like they didn't have the .logonxp extension appended to them. Most of the time you can easily fix that by just renaming the file and adding the .logonxp extension.
Well, it seems you understood that better than I, MGiff .
That was a pleasant surprise for me. I had uploaded a couple of skins and used up my 50Mb limit and then whammo I'm suddenly able to download again thanks to Frogboy. Some people only want to take and take and give nothing in return as if it was their right. Downloading from this site isn't a right, it's a privilige which has to be earned, either by monetary means or by contributing in some way to the expansion of the community and popularity of the software. A nicer bunch of
I'm currently working on a couple of icons for a keyboard and mouse but I'm not sure if it's what you're after. Keep an eye out at the GUI Olympics site as that's where they'll be uploaded, hopefully soon... I also noticed some very nice icons over at http://www.rokey.net/indexf.htm . As with any sort of requests you'll find you're the most qualified person to make them as you know exactly
If you're talking about changing your system icons on the start panel and folders and such you can use the IconPackager (found at https://www.stardock.com/products/iconpackager ). Some system icons cannot be changed because they're found in separate Microsoft system files which IconPackager doesn't access. Hope that helps.
Well, he really doesn't need anyone's help to sound like a twit, he's done a whizz-bang job of it all on his own. Did I just state what was inherent in the last post?? [Message Edited]
Oooooh... wouldn't that be nice. A boot sequence fully animated and rendered in 3D. /me drools all over the keyboard.
Because he's "monitoring" the site.
Of course you could save it in 16mil colours as .png or .bmp, you just couldn't use it in that format or colour depth when creating a bootskin. But that's what sets most bootskin authors here apart, they know how to create/manipulate fantastic looking images with minimal loss to the overall original effect. BootSkin does not have the capability of displaying more than 16 colours at this point, but then what other software can you use to legally apply bootskin images without having to hack i
I know I am...
QUESTION: How do I go about automatically removing the user icon from the user panel? I remember seeing a skin which, I think, did this automatically.
To begin with, I agree with you that DesktopX is awesome when the right theme is used. The problem with the buttons not working is that like any shortcut on the desktop these objects point to programs installed on a user's computer. Now, the problem here is that you can almost bet that most people who are really seriously into skinning are also pretty serious about customizing their folder architecture and program installations, making for different program locations for each computer.
If both monitors accept that resolution and your video card can set both monitors to display that resolution then yes. Otherwise you're up the proverbial creek without a paddle. Maybe a small investment in a new video card wouldn't hurt...
We *all* knew that China♥Cat , I think yrag was just making sure you hadn't forgotten. Hmm... Maybe it's something to do with your graphics adapter or its software?? Is that possible?
I don't see them as being difficult to make as much as they are time consuming. That's the only reason I don't come out with as many as the masters do (Essorant, adni18, etc) if i had more time it would be great. I guess it depends on how quick you're able to learn a particular software package and how good you are with graphics and their softwares. But all that being said, you will defin
Try Microangelo hellish911 .
Hey! I already pointed that out! You can't point after I've done it, you ripped my comment! RIP ALERT!! LOL
Could it be a conflict with some other software you're using? What version of Windows are you using? And did it (DesktopX) ever work correctly on that computer?
Yeah, you need to have multiple user accounts created and visible in your logon screen so that scrollbars will show up. Obviously if there's nothing to scroll through they won't show up.
How does it not work? What happens when you reboot? Does it show the botskin but in the wrong colours or does it not show up at all? You need to describe exactly what happens and what you downloaded and installed.
