1. I bought a colonyship. Since I after that had no use for a second, I choosed not to build a ship at all the normal way. Those two things I did right after eachother. I ended up not getting the ship I paid for, until I went back and chose that I wanted to build a colonyship. Then I got it the next round and could cancel further military projects. 2. I had two ships that I put on autopilot the same turn. One of the ships made the first auto-move after that towards the other shi

Ahhh okies, now I saw Pat's post. I need not only to keep my eyes open, reading helps too :)
And now the threads are back again. Right now Im afraid to close my eyes, behaving like Phoebe in friends - is someone remembers that episode LOL
Now there is no content again. (I hit back in my browser to find this thread) And Im not even drunk :)
Oh, right after my post I saw it all. strange. it wasnt here the last 10 minutes. even checked with two browsers. hehe shit happens.
Heey...where did all content go? I dont see any threads..
?? I can save, restore and continue last game. Have you saved any yet? What error do you get?
lol what was that? :) Happy birthday, Cari!
Mmm Ive had a bunch of crashes too when I take over a system. Also had it in the previous alpha...
Yeah, it's sad that DGM doesnt work if you arent connected to Internet. However, it's possible to start galciv manually as you probably know :)
Is it useful to create a key-sequence that puts the game in "excessive debugging"? If you need more info than we normally can get since it's not always that easy to reproduce a problem... It could be more info in the degug-file or to generate a file with smartexception-like data. Or anything useful :)
I have a reproduceable crash when I take over a system. I sent it to Cari. What modifies the morale? If I play as Im used to it drops to 40 or just below. What can I do to raise it? Anything else than tax/spending sliders? Im using about the same tax-percentatge that I used in OS/2...if Im not misstaken.) And what about the approval rating? In my latest game it's 0% whatever I do. I cant make it show anything else. Does it affect the gameplay at this point and how do I raise it
These seems to be fairly common. Now I got a "runaway" game again. It stopped when a ship on autopilot reached its destination tho.
When both a military and a social project is finished at the same time for the same planet, there is no need for it to queue two "attentions" to the planet display. Ehh I mean, after the GNN report when the planetview appears and you press next to go from GGN report-planet to the next. In this case the same planet appears after pressing next. Hmm I whish I could put that in a easier way :) I hope you understand what I mean.
Oh btw, I hope you'll add right click in the minimap as option to set a ship on autopilot to a destination? And a way to set waypoints for a ship?
Got the last one again. I was, as before, in the main map display. This time it got stuck in a quadrant and I couldnt do anything. Wherever I clicked it interpreted it as if I pressed the turn-button. Couldnt scroll in the map, tried by moving the cursor to the end of the map, tried grabbing and move (the new way) and tried to scroll using the minimap. No luck - I was stuck. ALT+F4 to quit was my only way out of the situation.
Ive come across two strange bugs in the user interface with the newest build.. Once the game ran away from me, just as if I had pressed the "turn button" contiously. The turn-icon even showed as if it was beeing pressed/released even tho I didnt do anything. Just as the game did in an earlyer alpha.. Once the game didnt care where I clicked. It interpreted it as if I had clicked the turn-button. I couldnt do anything since for every click it did a "turn", couldnt click any clo
In what way do you mean that it's not in "full release status"?
Or perhaps not :) Now when I check it I see that it's in the planet-list. Not the system-view. So the error is still there. Gaah, Im a bit tipsy - maybe I shouldnt do testing now. hahahahaha
Umm just a clarification...I'm talking on the right hand view when one looks into a system. I forgot to check the planet-view or the planet list.
When I started my first game based on the latest alpha...all planets with a quality number higher than 19 showed as "2". Now when I reloaded a saved game they shows their correct values "20-"
Works fine for me here. I have the background music and the planet music after reload. (all I tried)
Ehh decommission dont work, but perhaps it's not supposed to yet? And as I posted in another thread...once the ship-detail box popuped over a close-button. http://home.jacobsson.nu/galciv/closebutton.jpg Another thing...personally I'd not want a click on a ship on auto-route to a target to cancel it. I'd more likely want to se a line pointing to the destination so I can check it. Perhaps already in the pipeline for future development, but anyways..
http://home.jacobsson.nu/galciv/closebutton.jpg The close-button are behind the ship-details. Only happened once so far...
Or are anomalys always good?
