Yeah, selection and movement of more ships than one seems useful. Like the standard, making a square-select to select all in the square. plus shift-select to select one ship at a time. I remember the flagship thingey, but this could be useful anyway. Perhaps one dont want to group the ships to a flagship.

For those that havent seen this one yet.. Try to spot what's wrong. You'll hear a faint sound when you hover the mousepointer over the error. http://werewolf.prv.pl/flash/whatswrong.swf
Hmm now I have a savegame where there are a ship on the same tile as an alien system, not orbiting. In fact I believe they are different races. If you want me to send it somewhere, just let me know.
Just crashed on me again right after takeing over a system. Not much idea of conquering systems with the current build, but I'll continue using the explore, research, improve, defend strategy now. This was the last thingey in the debug.err ASSERT ERROR in file g:\projects\galciv\source\gamescr.cpp at line 2358. Debug Message: Cancel Destination for USS Transport 103 because dead. Debug Message: Cancel Destination for Arcean Transport 69 because dead. <br
Got a negative value when a research completed and I was about to select a new. Dont remember which research-item tho. Background music doesnt play if one swaps out to windows and back, and not when resuming a saved game either.
Umm when I tried it the 2nd time from my gamesave I could conquer the system, choose what to build and so, but the next turn it crashed. The last lines was: *DEBUG ERROR: *** Unable to locate font Arial10B, FTDataManager::FindFont *** Debug Message: Cancel Destination for USS Transport 7480 because reached its destination Debug Message: Cancel Destination for USS Transport 7480 because dead. Debug Message: Arcean (3): Researching: Phasers
I had a crash when I was about to take over the kwilas-system. Or pearhaps that was intended? LOL It was the first system that I tried to take in the new build. The ships-status helps alot, Brad. Thanks for that one :) And the change for the location of a colonyship when it's about to colonize a new planet. Much easier to find the ship if one decides to go after another planet instead.
Got a big load of ASSERT ERROR in file g:\projects\galciv\source\gamescr.cpp at line 2358. and a few ASSERT ERROR in file g:\projects\pear\source\dataman.cpp at line 514. Debug Message: Release Book: Unable to locate book TradeIcon02
I had a ship that was built at the same turn as a research completed. So after pressing turn, ending the previous turn, I had the "finished-research" animation up and after closing it, the "select-research" window was up with a GNN announcement (telling me the ship was finished) up over it. After closing the GNN window I got the view of the planet that had built the ship up. The select-research window didnt come up again. I can understand that it's hard to show many things at one time,
hmm the trick of making it crash when entering only a few chars in the name field seems to be speed. I just hit a few random chars rapidly. Sure it's silly, but it shouldnt generate a crash.
hmmm now I can get it to crash when I enter just a few chars in the ruler-name field (previously it has happened when I eneter too many chars in the empire-name)
And it's still imposs to use localized chars...only gets other characters instead of our beautiful swedish ones :)
Just noticed that it's very hard to use numbers in the name-field. Regular numbers I get double of. One press on "1" gets "11". If I use numpad I get "a1" instead.
I can reproduce it anytime. Probably because the name I choosed was too long.

Hmm intresting, that tile-change sounds fair enough. altho it might be hard to implement within the current-timefram, I guess, so it would definatly be something to consider for the 2nd relase IMO.
the %temp% dir is where drengin downloads the temp-files for galciv and the other games while downloading, so it could be good to clear that one out too.
lol. Congrats!! :CONGRAT:
hmm the only thing I can think of is to get ppl that arent likely to buy it to use it, like it and want the sequel. on the other hand, if developers thought that it was a good strategy they would use it, and extremely few does.
Ehhhm, I have a hard time seeing that any developer would want it to be freely downloadable when there is a sequel. (TCM) But perhaps that's just me.
like the GNN and the pics of the military and social projects. one thing that Im not that happy about, hehe, is that's it's a bit hard to get your colonyship out from a system that have entered by misstake (a system you dont want to colonize). Please let it come up in the planet-list as if it would orbit the system or something like that, so it's easy to get out of there. Umm..is sentry fully implemented? I noticed that the keyboard-S seems to set a ship to senty.
I'll head off to work now. So I'll try it when I get home. I'll try the one posted here on my workpc too, it's a 1000Mhz with 256 MB ram and geforce4 :) so I doubt that I'll have any soundskips there LOL
Uhmm when I say the "bink-application" I mean the RAD Video Tools (radvideo.exe)
