I still remember being in a Class A inspection when SSG Stoneroad was our Squad Leader. He was being pretty critical, but fair. He got in front of PFC Shaggy, and just stopped. Apparently, PFC Shaggy had gotten help the night before putting all of his eye candy on his uniform (what we had of it at that point), with the help of PFC Rich-Jewish-Kid-Who-Was-Still-Cool-As-Hell. Unfortunately, PFC Shaggy apparently thought the proper place to store a Cl

How do you know he hasn't gone to his chain first? If the chain disregards his concern, does that mean that he MUST stop bringing it up? Has he no OBLIGATION to bring this to public light...? I agree that things should be addressed at the lowest level whenever possible. Thing is, if you've read Greywar's past posts, you'd recognize that he supports that basic NCO principle as well. Granted, I don't know for sure, but I suspect that he's brought th

You scored as Islam. Your beliefs are most similar to those of Islam. Do more research on Islam and possibly consider taking the shahadah and officially becoming a Muslim, if you aren't already. Despite the actions of some - who go against the teachings of Islam - Islam is a religion of peace; the word "islam" means "peace through submission to God." "Muslim" means "one who submits to God." Islam is the third of the three Abrahamic faiths

Wow, not sure if this is good or bad..... Gangsta You scored 72 Street Knowledge points, 100 Culture points, 75 Gang Knowledge points, and 81 Thug Mentality points! What kids on the block call the HNIC. Head ni**a in charge. A hard ass mofo that nobody best step to. Probably adorned with gang tats, and may have spent a few years 23 - 24. Either that...or you just looked a lot of the questions up. Anyhow, I'll stick to my best guess,

Grey, We'll forgive the grammar and spelling....this time... j/k. That is pretty funny. Can't believe that I can still read that crap pretty comfortably after all these years... and the cat should be insulted....

I'm in the same boat as little_whip here. My wife and I are well into year number two of the new reality series, "The Immigration Game", where you see how long you last before you shoot a government employee or yourself out of frustration. I've been outspoken about immigration, and I'm tired of hearing that I'm a racist, or that I have some superiority complex as an American, or that I'm a cultural (American) elitist. My wife is an ASIAN from ASIA..

I won't profess to be an expert at mortar munitions, since I've never even laid hands on them. All my experience is with 155mm 100lb "Big Poppa" rounds, and those had separate fuses that you had to screw into the top of the round. If I'm correct, mortar rounds have fuses as an integral part of the round, and the fuse just needs to be set to the correct setting. All you do is crank the little screw at the top of the round until it's set where you wan

Grey, if I was there, you're MMA titles would be on permanent rotation with mine....I've got a dozen or so titles...UFC, Pride, etc. etc.... I live on that crap now...

I agree with you too Grey! Nowhere near enough personal responsibility in this great land of ours. "I'm fat as a pig....IT'S THE FAST FOOD COMPANIES FAULT!" No, it's my fault for not being able to stop shoving half-pound bacon cheeseburgers down my fat gullet. I know why I'm fat...it's because I'm a lazy slob without enough self control. I'm in a slow battle to change that, and I'm actually slowly winning...and I'll gladly take the credit for it t

11-5 is pretty good brother. I got a little lucky this year, and actually got 13-3 so far after the first day, but the guy I'm playing against in my office only got 9-7....that's a random chance outcome there. My big shocker of the day was UAB....didn't expect them to take out LSU. I did predict UW-Milwaukee over Alabama though....GO PANTHERS!! Other wrong picks: UTEP and Creighton....thought that the 10 and 11 seeds could pull it

Greywar!!....New Mexico to the Final Four? You either have the biggest balls I've seen or the smallest brain brother. No way they are making it past round two (I've got two different brackets, and one has them beating Villanova, the other doesn't). I do like your Albuquerque bracket though...looks way solid. Overall, I've got Illinois (although your point about them choking may be valid, but 32 wins in a season is hard to bet against), Wake, Kansa

Not sure if anybody else has already written about this, but a friend of mine brought my attention to a new documentary movie getting ready to come out. It's called "Gunner Palace", and is supposedly a movie about the Iraq war from the perspective of the soldiers themselves. There are are trailers and a blog on the website

The nation needs a solution and a draft is not it (a topic for another time). Reiki obviously missed the whole point of this article. Grey - good points all. Not sure how we can fix it, but I've been hearing horror stories about Guard and Reserve units being stretched to the breaking point.

Pretty funny Pidge. On a serious note though, as "morally upstanding" and "politically correct" as the Canadians would have us believe they are, I had the opportunity to work with their Army in Afghanistan (Princess Patricia's to be exact). I'll concede that they are pretty competent as far as training and operations go, but there was massive RACISM and SEXISM within the units. There were few minorities in the unit there (which is understand

Reiki, You really should not address issues that you are uninformed about. COUCH-HAWKS? Right....like Greywar is a couch-hawk.... HE'S OVER IN THE WAR ZONE NOW!! Plus, he VOLUNTEERED TO GO. He wasn't a pussy that had to be told that he had to go. He believes in the mission, and in what we are doing, and he grabbed his sack and made the hard decision. I spent 11 months in Afghanistan (as a civilian supporting the military, and no, I di

Along the same lines, I found this on a conservative website. Not at all politically correct. Extremely offensive. And FUNNY as hell. FUN FACTS ABOUT THE FRENCH: - A Frenchman will fight viciously and without regard to his own life if you stand between him and a white flag. - Rumor has it that the French don't like bathing. This rumor comes from them smelling. - To get with modern times, they've adopted a stance of preemptive surrender. -

I think that a lot of things in Korea are "okay" if they happen while you are drunk. When I busted out my teeth my Korean supervisor at the time was pissed because he thought I had been in a fight. When I explained that I had just gotten stupid drunk and fell flat on my face, he totally dismissed it as an accident that was totally excusable due to the alcohol. In another wacky K

Wow, Sturgee you've been all over the place. Thanks for replying. Thanks for making it clear for us Danny and for replying. Hopefully a few more will let us know where they are. It would be fun to see how diverse the JoeUser family is. Bet anything he was/is in the military. During my time on this earth I've gotten around some. Some due to Uncle Sam, some due to wanting a change and some due to just plain stupidity. I've lived

Congrats on the first time go Chip. I just find it hard to believe that you would have any inhibitions/stage fright after being in the Army this long, especially having served over in Korea (with Different Hanja and Grey no less). I KNOW that you had to have done things more "embarrassing" than a wizz quiz. That was my secret...just thinking to myself "I don't like him looking at me while I pee, but it's better than him seeing me when I fill i

Grey, What is it with you and animals? You seem to just attract them, and of course, you aren't heartless enough to reject them..... I would rather have a cat around in that environment though... Wish we could have had one in Afghanistan. We waged war with rogue mice (one of which invited himself to my last bowl of ramyun that I humped in a duffel back from Korea while on leave).

Damn funny Pidge. I agree that we don't need these guys. They provided some troops to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan, but ISAF only patrolled Kabul, and the French refused to send their troops out to the farther out provinces where there was actual instability and danger. If they want to truly contribute, great, but we shouldn't fret about their lack of support. They don't have much influence in the world anymore,
