Interesting news. However, it seems that while Stardock virtual desktops got its version number bumped for OD 2007, there are still some outstanding issues with the program. For one, it still doesn't play well with DX or IconX (when either is running, SVD won't properly switch wallpapers). That's pretty sad, and there's no good reason for this behaviour. Additionally, for dual monitors, the tile wallpaper method doesn't work correctly. Instead of prope

Zubaz, I had the same error installing on my laptop, I found that if you put your email address and OD serial into the activation dialog that shows up, it'll activate correctly. Looks like there might still be a bug or two in the program.
I've actually added a suggestion to the Office suggestion board to at least provide an option to revert to normal Windows interface elements for this. While I don't *dislike* the new interface, I don't really like something that doesn't play well with WB. But, then again, the Office group has never fully followed the usual Windows interfaces, there's always something that's different.
Would you please tell the court why you and your co-defendants took it upon yourselves to dig a very big hole in the middle of 1st Avenue? Well, there are so many holes in 1st Avenue, we really didn't think anyone would notice.
He might be okay ... FWOOSH! Okay, maybe not now.
Although this is possibly largely unrelated, what is the status of the virtual desktop application? It still needs to support multiple monitors, and it needs to have vm locking and app exclusions working. As far as I'm concerned, Control Center is largely defined by how well the virtual desktops work, and if the VWM isn't working correctly, then CC isn't much use either. I largely like the way Control Center is impleme
Certainly quite a bit faster! Is this on the new server already, or did you just shut down galciv?
Your teaser looks fantastic (not like we would expect anything else ). Definitely looking forward to this one!
Sweeet! Guess we'll have to have a countdown

I don't really care all that much about system sounds (I pretty much always turn them off, as they get annoying after a while). If I can change them easily, and if the sounds aren't too obnoxious, I'd be willing to give it a try, I might actually keep system sounds if they can be done well. But if you want my opinion, I'd really rather see the resources go to updating and / or improving some of the core applications. The virtual desktops app
Congrats, Matt! Most definitely well deserved! Now, we're all waiting for those masterful thingamajigs!
Happy (belated) Birthday Matt! Enjoy what's left of the 30's Definitely looking forward to some thingamjigs
This isn't a complaint so much as a heads up, so .... It may refresh on a normal wallpaper change, but when used in conjunction with Stardock Virtual Desktops (and with a different wallpaper on each desktop), the taskbar does not refresh when the vdm is changed or when the wallpaper for a given desktop is changed. I don't know what (if any) signal the SVD program sends when the desktop is changed, but it would be nice if WB caught it and ref
Great stuff, and perfect attention to detail, as usual! Thanks for the goodies!
Found another minor issue. Using the stardock virtual desktops, when I change desktops, the part of the desktop that's visible through the translucent part of the taskbar (Arrow and Aura), 'sticks' on the background image of whatever screen it was on first. If I resize the taskbar, the behind image updates to the current screen, and that one sticks until I tweak the bar again. I've also noticed that when changing an option in WBConfig (but not changing
Addenda to my previous comment, since I've seen a comment or two that were concerned about dual monitors, my setup has dual monitors, both work fine with WB5.
Figure I should throw my $0.02 in the pile I did a straight up upgrade (didn't uninstall 4.6) and WB5 works very well on my box. Have a bit of an issue with some oddball black boxes in the WBConfig dialog (I'll lob up a screen if needed, but from what I've read, Neil is already looking at this). Also had a bit of a minor issue switching from Aura to Arro
Sweet! Definitely looking forward to it
You answered "yes" to 71 of 100 questions, making you 29.0% sexually pure (71.0% sexually corrupt); that is, you are 29.0% pure in the sex domain. Your Weirdness Factor (AKA Uniqueness Factor) is 39%, based on a comparison of your test results with 879613 other submissions for this test. Looks like I'm in pretty good company here
I concur with Nick. IconX (and DesktopX) cause BandVWM to not work properly (In addition to overriding the configurable wallpapers in BandVWM, they affect the switching time between VWM's (for me at least)). This leaves me in the position of having to choose to run (or not to run) these other fine stardock applications because they interfere with another app (and, for me, BandVWM is more useful than the others). I like DX and IconX, but I can't use the
Cool stuff! Although you probably don't need any more confirmation, I see the same thing liquidguru does One other thing I've noticed is that when I add a widget, in some cases, it causes the menu to act up. By that I mean that the menu will stretch across the screen, and the widget will be shown on the far right margin of the menu. A good o
Those shots are definitely *very* cool! Even if you're not fond of the Aero look, this opens the door to a lot of new and imaginative skins!
I use it when I have my laptop at my desk. I'm still looking forward to when a linux client shows up, as that's the system I would really see some serious benefit from using multiplicity. great stuff!
*Cough* *Surprise* *Cough* Well, that sounds interesting I've never thought the FauxS-XP icons were dated or anything. Even now, they're still one of the more elegant icon sets I've seen.
