It depends on whether you purchased a full version of XP Pro or an upgrade. If you bought a full version, then you should be able to give your XP Home license away. If you bought an upgrade, then you need to keep your XP Home license. The full version of the XP Pro CD is capable of doing a full install or an upgrade, your choice. However, I'm not sure if XP Home is capable of being upgraded to Pro.

Thanks everyone! balls: It is designed to fit with your icons set at 32x32 or 48x48. In order to use larger icons, you'll have to edit the width of the user pane and the places list in SkinStudio. It's just a couple of settings though, no need to modify any graphics or anything.

Try this: 1. Go to your WindowBlinds folder. 2. Delete the skin folder for the skin that won't install. 3. Delete the .cat file(s) from your WindowBlinds folder. 4. Reinstall the skin. 5. Open Display Properties and see if it is in the skin list now. That usually does the trick. The dialog background takes its color from the Button Face setting in the Colors section. You can also add a dialog background bitmap if you want something other than a solid color.

Hmm, could be that I just always use black menu text, so I never noticed if the normal state changes or not.
It depends on which favorites menu you look at. The favorites menu on the start menu does respect menu text color settings. The favorites menu on the IE toolbar is always black, however.
There is no secret. The text on the Favorites menu is always black and there's nothing skinners can do about it. The only way to make it readable all the time is to use a light colored menu background and a light colored menu highlight background.
I've been considering Fireworks MX myself. We recently bought the StudioMX 2004 suite here at work, and it looked like it might be a great skinning tool. It's encouraging to see someone as talented as grayhaze is using it. At the moment, Photoshop and SkinStudio are my tools of choice. I mainly skin WindowBlinds, but I do a little bit of everything really.

SysMetrix and all the DX mail objects I'm aware of only support POP3 mail servers. Hotmail uses a different protocol. I know Outlook Express can check Hotmail accounts, so it is possible to access it without using a web browser. I don't know if the protocol is available to developers outside of Microsoft though.
