Is it best to have the Ram installed with largest capability in slot one and decending in size? Yes. Some motherboards strictly require it. Try the 256 in slot 1, 128 in slot 2, and 32 in slot 3.

What Jafo said. And on top of that, I hate updating or reworking my old skins. Once I'm done with them, I prefer to just move on. Whenever I look back at them I see all the flaws and wish I'd done things differently. Then I start making changes to the skin, realize it's becoming vastly different than the original, scrap my update, and just start a new project alltogether. But that's just me.

I love Nuvem's old DX themes. Some of them require a tiny bit of tweaking to work as intended, but it's well worth it. The graphics are all top notch and everything just flows together so seamlessly. I guess it helps that he's a tremendous all-around artist. https

In my experience, a person asking to have a skin made just for themselves is only willing to pay what a single skin is worth to them. That's somewhere in the $5 to $20 range. When a company commissions a skin to use in their application, or to promote their product, they are willing to pay waaaaaay more. That's because, for them, the skin adds value to their product and increases brand recognition. For me, the skin author, it takes the same amount of time to make a skin, regard

I'm not sure if I understand the question, but I think I might. Click and hold down on the color swatch in Colorpad, and your cursor will turn to a color picker (crosshairs, I believe). Move your mouse to a color on your screen that you want to capture, and then release the mouse button. Now the color swatch in Colorpad has turned to the color you picked. Then, just click on Colorp

The only reason themes are labeled as supporting one resolution or another is that the objects in the theme are positioned to fit on the screen at that resolution. You can download any theme at any resoultion and move the objects around until they look right though. I have done that many times.

I have an HP PC as well. I searched the registry for "About my HP PC" and found that same key with the big long number. I deleted the key and now it's gone from my start menu. No harm done. Of course, you should always back up your registry before doing anything like that, just in case you need to restore it. But I had no problems.

I frequently get mine from DepthCore. I like their work and they've done a ton of walls. http://www.depthcore.com I also peruse the WC library from time to time. Sometimes I'll just go to a favorite artists' deviantART page and look through their gallery.

yrag, trayserver and component tray are not the same thing. Component tray lets you launch your OD programs from the system tray and notifies you of program updates. Trayserver is an application that allows ObjectBar to interact with the Windows system tray and display your tray icons.

This forum isn't an official support meduim for Stardock, so you won't get an official answer here, but I'll offer some advice. SDC installs applications into a different directory structure than CM did. It might help if you uninstall your applications and then reinstall them via SDC. You should email [email protected] for support if you still need it though.

Haha, no Crissy. I think Chad (Chadamus) means the game is on now, time to move himself up the list. He has a big head start on me though, and I know he's already got something really cool up his sleave. This is going to be tough. Thanks though, Crissy and neophil. I'm honored.

Styl, you don't understand. The "program" StyleXP is actually more like WinStyles. It is simply an interface that lets you apply msstyles skins, shellstyles, and wallpaper all at once. It doesn't actually skin anything though. That is all handled by the hacked msstyles .dll. WindowBlinds, on the other hand, actually handles all the skinning on its own. Also, there is no freeware version of StyleXP. You can get the hacked .dll alone for free, but the "program" is shareware, which expir

SkinCast is supposed to show the latest WindowBlinds skin featured here at WinCustomize. It is possible that no WindowBlinds skins have been featured since iSkin, because there are many other libraries that we feature skins from here (e.g. IconPackager, DesktopX, etc.) On the other hand, I don't think iSkin was the last WB featured, so maybe SkinCast isn't working properly.
