Perhaps paxx is referring to the header bars on the shellstyles panes. They can be quite tricky to get just right without the image stretching in undesirable ways. Along those same lines, margins for the shellstyles background would be nice, as would the option to tile rather than stretch. Another little known fact is that the large folder backgrounds (My Pictures, My Music, etc.) need to be 8 bit indexed bitmaps in order to display. No suggestion there, I just thought I'd offer it up w
Here are a few things that come to mind right away. I would love to see WB apply the user icon with the skin. Also, I wish WB could change the fonts on the shellstyles bits, start menu, and grouped task menu. Finally, I wish the panel item background and logoff button background images didn't override the mouse over font colors on the programs list, places list, and bottom bar of the start menu. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsID=91
You need to be using WindowBlinds 4, and you also need to be using a skin that was made to support it. Look for "ShellStyles Support" on the skins here in the WindowBlinds library.
I believe it is due to a change in WB4, but it is easily corrected by adjusting the content margins on the buttons. As always though, some fonts simply don't fit well, particularly fixed width ones if they aren't small enough.
Assuming you are refering to the Dashboard section of this site, it is basically a skinnable organizer for PocketPC.
I stand corrected.
You have to be an Apprentice or higher to rate, regardless of your user level. User level is simply a reflection of what you have purchased. Rank, so to speak, is a reflection of your contributions to the site and the community. A higher rank will give you the ability to rate skins. I looked through your uploads and I know you've been around here for a long time, so I promoted you. You should be able to rate skins from the comments page now. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smi
Actually, moshi, he did ask for CursorXP cursors. "#2 by Mr Stormrage89 - 4/16/2003 4:35:40 PM no not Icon Cursors for cursorXP ....and im too lazy to lookc around i mean i cant find one that fits" It was hard to resist correcting his punctuation and grammer. <A HREF="https://www.win
I'm a bit biased, but I used these while I was making Rogue. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?Library=25&skinid=369 grayhaze's oldSys cursors https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?Library=25&skinid=53, which I think also come with CursorXP, go great with everything. They are my favorite. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/
It looks like a lizard to me, but yes, I think you could call that the mascot.
Well, I'm a bit late jumping in here, but it looks like I beat Jafo to the thread. Congratulations, Paul!
Unfortunatley, that is not possible. CursorXP does not acutally use cursor files, they are alpha blended PNG files. Windows 98 is not capable of displaying alpha blended transparency.
No problem. It's been reposted.
I think the problem is the file name of the preview image. It needs to be unique. Preview.jpg is probably also the name of your Shades of Blue screenshot. Please update it with an original preview name, like intense-wb.jpg, and I'll put it through promptly.
Stormrage89, if you just recently purchased it you will be able to upgrade for free.
You downloaded 3.5 then. Since you just recently purchased it, you will be able to upgrade for free when WB4 comes out. If you have a WindowBlinds icon in your system tray, I believe you can get the version number by either hovering over it, or right-clicking it.
Stormrage89, what version of WindowBlinds are you running? Shellstyles are only skinned in the beta versions of WindowBlinds 4, currently listed as 3.9c. The beta is only available to Object Desktop subscribers, but the final version is due out April 8th. If you recently purchased WindowBlinds 3.5, you will have to wait until then to upgrade. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs
No, Jam, that is not correct. DuoPixels is APB and Jalentorn working together. Treetog and Alexandrie are Pixtudio.
jcg, try saving your ShellStyleLarge(whatever).bmp files as 8bit indexed color bitmaps. That solved the problem for me.
Crae: SkinPlant is pretty much the same idea as Pixtudio. It's 2 skinners joined together to create skins and suites. murassmeblade: As Hippy said, SkinPlant features skins we have made, it does not allow community members to upload. Much the same as Pixtudio, which is Treetog and Alexandrie's site, other people don't upload there. The number of libraries we have will likely expand as we skin more applications. I'm not sure what your talking about when you refer to funding. Hippy and I
SkinPlant.com is a collaboration between application skinners Mark McQuillan (Hippy) and Mike Bryant (MikeB314). We have joined forces to bring you free skin suites as well as premium suites in the near future. We recently released Stinger, a suite of free skins, as a prelude to the site
I think I heard brief mention of that yesterday too, but I didn't see it myself. Very funny indeed.
Me too. I hate to turn WasupBoy's thread into an CPU discussion, but I just couldn't resist. I have been buying AMD chips for years and still do. The only Intel I have is the one that came in my laptop. I can't build those myself. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by S
Taken care of. Thanks, moshi.
