I just deleted them both, and all is well. Thanks for the tip, Fuzzy Logic.

That definatley sounds like a problem with the site. You should send an email to [email protected] explaining the problem.
I thought the same thing, grayhaze. But I opted for the "father and son share a Coke" photo. Oh, and just to clear up any confusion, I'm not the one in the red hat.
I have seen that now and then too, DavidK. Also, when I open SkinBrowser, all the posts at the top of the list are 10 days old. If I leave it open for a while, a couple of recent ones appear at the top, but not all. I pretty much browse the message board entirely within the bottom web browser window, using the "Go Back to Message Board" link to see new posts. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" bo
Wow that is ugly! Maybe they were expecting transparency.
On second thought, almost seriously, I think most people responded in hopes that Sheptheman would return to elaborate on his complaint. He could be referring to a number of different things and might not even be beyond help. Afterall, he did pose a question to be answered. The answer has basically been, "could you be more specific." But, alas, I suspect he will not return. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smi
Maybe it is some sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. He believed in the crap so much, that it magically materialized in his thread. Seriously though, oh, wait, nevermind. There is no serious side to this. I don't know what I'm doing here either. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid
I think this thread is pretty funny. A vague, rude, uncontructive complaint certaintly deserves an equal response. I hope the hoop does hit him in the ass on the way out. I mean, the guy said "get real", and the reality is, no one appreciates his comments. If you do read this, Shep, the little icon below indicates that I have payed for this 'crap' and enjoy it very much. <img src="http://i
Wow, I don't know what just happened here, but it looks like a good thing.
Thanks to SkinBrowser, I can see that our ghost is actually called Citizen . Our browsers are apparently seeing this as an HTML tag and hiding it from us.
Few people are aware of this, but they used to be known as Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young & DavidK.
It seems I've done a pretty good job of staying out of most of the pictures stored on my computer. But, here's one from about a year ago: http://www.mikebryant.org/photos/july2001.jpg And then, of course, there's my Deviant ID: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation.php?id=212752
Can you tell us which skin you are using? You may be using a skin that does not include the XP taskbar and start menu. When you're browsing the WindowBlinds library, look for "WinXP Support" above the skin description to be sure.
You'll also want ObjectBar https://www.stardock.com/products/objectbar/ to get the XP style taskbar and start menu. There are many different skins you can download for ObjectBar, but the XP one is included.
Jeez, Brad, you make me want to pack up the family and move to Michigan.
In SkinBroswer, click the View menu and select Site Updates.
There is an checkbox on the Advanced tab in Internet Explorer options labeled "Reuse windows for shortcuts". Uncheck that box and all your shortcuts will open in new windows.
Lexar, the windows with the ugly plain look are drawn as tool windows, which are not skinned by UIS2 skins. If you use a UIS1 skin, they will be skinned as well. You can recognize a UIS1 skin in the Display Properties because it will show 3 windows in the preview instead of 2.
Skins are installed in your WindowBlinds directory in Program Files. You will find a folder in there for each skin. There is also a checkbox in your WindowBlinds settings labeled "Apply wallpaper included with skin" or something. However, keep in mind that authors do not always include wallpaper in the skin.
Yeah, what Bill said. To add to that, if you want to restore all of your icons, open IconPackager and apply the Window Default Icons at the top of the icon package list.
Why would I want to partially skin my OS when I can skin the whole thing with WindowBlinds and use less resources? Just out of curiosity, how do you think StyleXP 'enhances' Microsoft's skinning engine? Afterall, it's just a hack that lets you use unsigned visual styles. It doesn't support any extra features over what MS included in XP. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle
I have not received any junk mail as a result of my subscription here either. Are you sure you haven't posted in newsgroups with that account, Entilza? Is it possible that your ISP could have inadvertantly given up your email address? I know my ISP has a public section of thier web site that lists users' home pages by thier email account. This would be an easy way for a spammer to get Road Runner addresses. Just a thought. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsID=9
Bill Sawyer, that is a good idea for a poll. Even though this site's log files already give those answers to the admins, I'd be interested in knowing. I'm not sure if I'd include SkinBrowser as an option though, since it uses IE for several parts, and a lot of people probably switch between it and thier regular browser. As for the W3C compliance thing, yeah yeah, I know. IE is famous for not exaclt
Also, JoeyImage, what browser are you using?
Yeah, and maybe they could shrink it down to 320x240 for my PocketPC while they're at it. Haha. Serioulsy though, it is up to the makers of the browser to conform to W3C standards. As a Web designer, you have to focus on the majority of your audience, which are using IE or Netscape. If someone else comes along and makes a browser, and 20 people out of 2 million start using it, you can't redesign yo
