I have run into this problem on several occasions, stop let machine cool down, then open machine, reseat all pci & agp cards, then make sure all memory sticks are seated tight (reseat them if needed), then also reseat all IDE cable, power plugs, and whatnot. once this is done then try and boot machine. If machine will not boot, then (if more than 1 stick) remove a stick of memory, restart (yes/no) shut down machine and try other stick of memory. Boot? (yes/no) try removing individual pci cards a
Windows update harbors AMD conflict By Matt Hines CNET News.com August 27, 2004, 11:43 AM PT A problem in the Service Pack 2 update for Windows XP may keep owners of AMD-based computers from using the long-awaited security package, according to Microsoft. In an article posted in the Knowledge Base section of its Web site, Microsoft says that Service Pack 2 may not work with computers running Advanced Micro Devices' 64-bit microprocessors. joetheblow you can do rss from Firefox as well, just install the extension and use the sidebar feature for them. EasyPaeasie. I also use the open in IE extension for those difficult links, that just will not work from Firefox. That's the only saving grace for me.
you have to have the fullversion of CursorXP I think and then go into the mouse options in control panel and then enable them, pick which one you want to use and then..there ya go Bob's your Uncle.
wow I am spitballing this idea with the wife, what we need is a Hashing Widget. Now I think that is original. /me Pats self on back... hahaha!
I concur, whole, heartedly. You have a point. I for one hate to see restrictions put on users. Unfortunately any Tom, Dick and Jane can pony up the cash and take a chance on becoming one of the mass hordes of Zombie machines out there, and proliferate the "Spam Nation." hmmmm.. I like that phrase. CygnusXII tucks phrase into hat for safe keeping. Anyways, it is a sad day when some type of skinning is introduced into the Known Hazzards Community. But as each skinnable progr
I allways wondered about this possibility, when I saw some of the skins phoning home for updates, and opening control windows and such. I thought that there was alot of power not being tapped on this and how long it would be before being exploited. What a shame. But it is just typical of how the edge is once again being shown by the "badguys." Maybe there should be a quality of standardds when it comes to programs allowing that kind of operability with your system. I mean a bartender can be held
Well Here I am sitting with My newest kitten on my tummy and thinking about what makes me Happy. What brings the small joys to our Hearts, and what is soothing when things are going wrong? What are we greatfull for? What makes the load less of a burden? I figured we could use a thread of encouragement and a place to list the things we think of each day that brings a smile to the lips and a spring to the step. Share the thoughts that you have and maybe spread something nice in the process.<br
Not to mention adblock, and the other 150 or so extensions you can add to Forefox or Mozilla proper. As to that Yahoo Article, I tell ya I'd never trust a company that sells Gator, or had anything to do with Gator/Claria or whatever they call it now. ewallet software ..yeah right, and loan Sharks are financial Managers.
I use Firefox and you can add literally hundreds of different kinds of searches to it. http://mycroft.mozdev.org/download.html I love FireFox and have been using it for about 9 months now, and I'll never go back to IE. If i could get it off (IE) without breaking half the system, I would do it in an instant. I used to be an IE Fan, and actually bought a copy of it when it sold in BestBuy as an individual Product. Now if I had that Box somewhere it would probably be worth something.
Use script to block Windows XP SP2 updates: Microsoft http://www.itnews.com.au/storycontent.asp?ID=17&Art_ID=21201 "Microsoft has offered yet another way for businesses to block the Automatic Update of Windows XP to the big-deal SP2 upgrade. may be it wouldn't hurt to have an unofficial faq / repository of things that folks learn. I mean common oversights in using, and designing for the Stardock programs. Maybe for general design aesthetics, and common areas of design bugs (authors notice when designing.) Maximizing the screenshot to best give an overview of a skin. Instead of having to reinvent the wheel everytime a skin is done, this could smooth things out for beginners, or even the common designer, who just might be forgetfu

on the topic of comments, and screen shots. I am curious..... Is there any kind of set format for the screen shots of an applied skin? I am starting to see, a few of the WB Screenshots that do not include, any windows. I mean all that is shown is the start Menu and Taskbar area. People that comment on this are being ignored, as if it doesn't matter. I wonder because this is a bad attitude to adopt. Some folks do not have the Bandwidth, to download a skin, if they have to do so just to see how
