Thomas - based on the example, but modified because I want to use it in a theme, not a widget, this is what I tried, and the hotkey still does not seem to function: 'Called when the script is executed Sub Object_OnScriptEnter End Sub 'Called when the script is terminated Sub Object_OnScriptExit Object.UnregisterHotkey(1) End Sub Dim h Sub Object_OnLButtonUp(x,y,dragged) I

Thomas - I've sent two emails, and heard nothing back. I suspect, with the number of errors I'm seeing accessing the site, that they are a bit busy. That shouldn't involve Alberto, though, should it?
It makes me think of Dodge Colt Vista. It has no teeth, like Cougar, Tiger, Panther ... How about Dragon?
Exactly what program(s) did you install, and what is happening?
This sounds kinda similar to a problem Jafo was having: Link
When I try your &H0431 nothing seem to excecute after that. Yeah, same result here. Very strange. I asked Green Reaper about it and he hadn't tried it, so I emailed tech support and have yet to hear back.
I've been reading these forums for a few months now, and posting occasionally as seemed appropriate (or unavoidable), and I think perhaps some of us could use a reminder about a couple of things in regard to complaints. First of all, there will probably always be something for someone to complain about. The two main categories of complaints I read about here are the sites performance and some newly released version of a Stardock product wit
I get the feeling that the documents assume some C knowledge... The thing is, I do have C knowledge (20 years ) As near as I get from the doc that Alberto (or whomever) wrote, it's a WORD argument (2 bytes)
Thomas - Yeah, I know - I did use Object.RegisterHotkey in the code. Have you gotten it to work, then?
Has anyone had success using the Object.RegisterHotkey method? If so, could you post an example snippet? I can't seem to get it to work.

I am really amazed at the amount of anger and frustration that has been vented here in this thread and in others like it. I've been a subscriber here since February and I have to say that, even with the amount of problems the site has had lately, it has been MORE than worth it. It was $20! Try going to one movie with your significant other, or out to dinner for less! For my twenty dollars I get a whole year of unlimited (yes, ev
Not sure what was happening at the time, but it seems to be okay now. Thanks for the replies.
Actually, it DOES install Pro. I had it until I selected Update on the DesktopX (beta) item in the SDC list.
Just keeps getting better. One thing, though - The list of apps with updates in SD Central was DesktopX Professional, DesktopX, and IconX. I currently don't own a license to DX Pro (although I'm planning on it). It did the download and install and I did have Pro (I checked, and was able to export an object to a gadget). Then when I ran SDC again it
My current DX setup uses 30,176K according to Task Manager. This is with an entire theme loaded. It really depends on how many objects and what kind of memory they use (images, etc).
Okay, so I found the "Toggle Object Palette" item on the context menu - but selecting it seems to have no effect. ???
In the history page, for the latest release of DesktopX, it refers to DesktopX Builder Palette. What, or where is this?
What about using WindowFX to set the desktop margins?
Okay, I got it figured out - it was very late last night For some reason, CorelDraw had defaulted back to making a png with no transparency, and this file was not digestible for DX. It most likely is a Corel bug, but who knows? It's working fine now using my usual export parameters.
I've run into a weird problem with a desktop theme: DesktopX crashes when I try to load a new image for an object that I'm adding to the theme. It doesn't have a problem if I add an object and use an image that is already in the theme. Is there a limit, either in number of images, or total size of images loaded, for a DX theme? I have plenty of memory. I do notice that DesktopX is using 1620 handles. Any help or more in
I would personally have trouble with the readability of the fonts used on the title bars and the taskbar buttons.
I have to say that I am amazed at these vocal youngsters who seem to see themselves as modern-day Robin Hoods, when all they are doing is stealing so they can have the music that they "need". What if the big bad oldsters in "power" decided that their computers were not really "property" since the "owners" didn't make them but bought them with money, which of course is not real, just a virtual representation of value? <img src="http://images.stardock.
it should be realtivly easy to make an object which behaves like you want, and then use it as a template perhaps (put it on wincustomize )? Okay, so that sounded like a good idea, so I did it. It's called Hybrid Text Object, in DesktopX Objects (assuming it gets by the gatekeepers <img src="http://im
