I can get a vertical dock, but only with the text below the icon.
I mean some people will have to face facts. Object dock which is being sold by stardock is an immense violation of the intellectual property of Apple's OSX Bar. If that was patented I wouldnt have my object dock. That is just freaking nuts. I think you are a bit off topic. ObjectDock, while it ma
And some countries dont impose Intellectual Propety laws. If you dont believe that such and such intellect is property, then whos right is it to say that the author can charge for it. Its not that hard of a concept to understand. So, by your logic, because some countries practice genocide, then that m
Ka806: So are you saying that software (and other so-called intellectual property) should paid for unless someone doesn't want to, and then they can have it for free? So, my work as a software developer and a recording studio owner/engineer would be as a volunteer? Exactly how do you see this working? As for the soap boxes, it seems to me that you've been on yours quite a bit here.
I agree that what your suggesting would be a good thing. In addition how about exposing properties like z-order, activation, start with, and all of the item type properties to scripting. Also, it would be nice to tie object size and placement to states. Oh yeah, and have the object make me some coffee.
No problem. Glad to help
You will need to load DesktopX first and then import the widget. Then you can right-click on the shortcut and use "Set Target" to change the target. If you want to change the text you will have to put DesktopX in builder mode and then select the "Properties" option from the right-click menu.
You should look at the DX Scripting documentation for System.FolderDialog. Link Also look at the new Object.Command and Object.CommandParameters properties.
How about the ability to specify the location of the label text? That would be a simple way to have both.
Or maybe it's because nothing on the Internet really exists. It's virtual. I really don't get this argument. Try this: take away your thoughts, feelings, and memories (all virtual). All that's left is your body. Do you exist now? Some of the MOST valuable aspects of our existence are
If/when some such feature/section is added it'd need close supervision to ensure people were NOT actively discouraged rather than encouraged. Why not make commenting contingent on having submitted a skin to the library?
DesktopX performance seems completely in line with other aspects of my system. No complaints. Here is the first part of the DXDiag.txt file (if you want more let me know and I will email): ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 6/27/2005, 15:16:17 Machine name: CSNORTH Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.0
DesktopX has two plugins that allow for email checking and both support IMAP. Several of the DX objects and widgets are built around these plugins. Check the respective libraries.
Sounds like a good idea. Kind of like a workshop area, and perhaps the right to comment would come with the act of actually uploading a blind. That way, people can still look "over the shoulders" of those doing the work, and people IN the workshop can dialog about it. I myself have yet to embark on a WB project, but I am interested, and it would be encouraging to see "works in progress".
Very cool images! Thanks
I've been using 1.0.509 for quite a while now, and it seems to work really well. No complaints.
According to the Windows Script documentation, the Exec command only works for executable files (as near as I can tell). The Run command, on the other hand is supposed to work on registered file types also. The only caveat with using Run is that it doesn't deal with spaces in the path unless the whole thing is bracketed in quotes. You need to do something like: Dim strCommands strCommands="%exedir%\Techno.pdf" WshShell.Run(chr(3
Citizen MountainDragon, I only get the channels from my antenna. I see nothing wrong with that. Poor choice to make a comparison with. WOM - I was in no way disparaging getting tv by antenna. If that's what works, no problem. I was suggesting that if someone pays for cable or satelite, then they
Try uninstalling OD and then downloading the latest and re-install.
The following, inserted in the script for your object, will display a context menu on right mouse click. The "DesktopX" option will allow the default context menu to come up (different depending on the host environment for your object/widget). Function Object_OnRButtonUp(x,y,dragged) If Not dragged Then Dim menu Set menu = DesktopX.CreatePopupMenu menu.AppendMenu 0, 1, "Options 1" menu
I COULD afford 19.95 for subscribtion, but, i don't think i would spend money on something virtual. Don't you mean you wouldn't spend money on something that you think you might be able to get for free? I suppose you only watch the television channels that you can get with the antenna? Or have

would be happy to share some food (which I worked hard for - whether purchased or grown) with another person if they seemed in need, but I would not share with someone who has decided that he/she sees no reason to pay for, or grow their own (for whatever reason). Well said. <img src
