The Easy-Pop skin to Universe Metal was a free complementary skin provided on the original Pixtudio Website. Unfortunately Pixtudio have removed anything related to those premium skins they handed over to Stardock from their website, even the free skins. I don't have the Stardock version (Universe Metal 2005), only the original Pixtudio version. I only download. Or at least I used to. The Logon-gallery has "caught up" to the bootskin-gallery concerning the "quality" of the skins available. I just completely lost any interest in it. The wallpaper-gallery seems to be heading the same way... What bugs me (being just a simple end-user), is that I usually check for new skins by looking at the "Newest" list, and have to sieve through all this "quantity instead of quality"-work in order to get to the real good stuff.

I had installed vairous of those programs and I usually tweak around with them and look in awe at them for about an hour.........until my curiosity is satisfied and I forget at them. A couple of months later I do my usual "throw out the programs I don't need anyway"-sweep and they dissappear from my HD. It's not so much a problem of running it, Fuzzy. I can't even install it since DeskScapes seems to check for a valid DreamScene installation before it allows you to install it. So the installation of DeskScapes aborts and I don't even get to store the dreams.

I have the problem that DeskScape refuses to install, since it claims that DreamScene by Microsoft is not installed even though it is. Vista Ultimate 64bit OEM, UAC is turned off. "DreamScene Preview" is installed and shows under "installed Extras" I uninstalled DreamScene > rebooted > downloaded and installed DreamScene through the WindowsVista updater again > rebooted ...and still DeskScape claims it can't find DreamScene and won't install. ??? Hmm. Who says Vista needs a really powerful computer? I'm running it on a PC which doesn't meet Vista Capable requirements in memory and graphics (it's from 2001), and it runs just fine. Sure, I've had to disable the search index, and no Aero or DVD/Movie Maker for me, but everything else works as advertised. Norways stance on forbidding (or make it impossible?) their citicens to download music from the i-tunes stores is certainly not fair to the consumer as well.
