I downloaded 'Spiral.zip' and had a look for you. First here is where you have to place it: unzip the file and move the two files (spiral.ttt and spiral.tra)into your ObjectDesktop\WindowsFX\Scripts folder. which free programs did you have installed? Opend the folders into which your freeware programs were installed. The windowblinds are in the WindowBlinds folder (they are folders themselves, usually named after the blind). The system tray should be back at the next reboot. Try and save all your settings by saving it as a theme ('configure Dock' > 'save theme as..'). Usually that does the trick for 'lost' icons.

Unfortunatley that fact that none of the Bootskin version works on your computer means that you might not be able to run it at all. This is not due to the program itself, but rather due to the fact that computer manufacturers like to tweak their BIOS. This is especially the case for Notebooks/Laptops and 'out of the box'-systems. There is no trick to it. If Bootskin worked on your system with SP1, then it should also work with SP2. Just make sure you set the Bootskin to default before upgrading with SP2. If you just newly installed Bootskin onto your SP2 system (without having it ran on a SP1 system) and it is not working, then the more likely reason for the program not to work is a 'tweaked' (by your computer manufacturer) BIOS. I don't know whether there is a difference in logon-screens for different languages. The 'go' button in the my (English) version only shows up after I clicked onto my user account.
