at this point its safe to say anthing u do with the buttons "obsolete, delete, upgrade" in the stardock area corrupts a game file. the game might get a little hard to select ships but if you dont touch those button you may be alright. i've also had crashing problems fixed with updating my grahpics driver.

i now have version . 80(b) and... IT DOESNT LOAD AT ALL. as soon as i start it crash i dont even get to the the menu screen what the heck is going on i;ve never had this happen before. anyone else got this problem

so if i dont upgrade, dont obsolete and dont delete configs it wont corrupt the game file and i can load it right.?

i cant upgrade my ships AT ALL without it crashing entirely. i keep having random crashes and i finally get to the point after reloading a game so many times i cant play it anymore

ok i can look at the debug.err. now what? my game is now continually crashing everytime i try and save upgrades to a ship. but the upgrades are still saved. noooo it crashed again for a different reason and now i cant reload the game from the last auto save!!! is beta 4 supposed to be like this

i run into crashing alot so i was going to check the debug. err. i know where it is and i found it but when i click it im prompted to select a program to look at it with. which program do i select? the game doesnt really crash at any particular time but it has done so twice now when i clicked save ship design. heres some where i first stated the problem https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=162&AID=95388 oh and i cant load a game i saved.

i think when u improve on a tech it should flat out replace the old tech. example laser 3 is invented so u can no longer build laser 2 because laser 3 is or should be better in everyway.

i wish the AI would get catious if they saw one of ur ships with a bunch of extra stuff on it. and if they got close only then would they realize its actually a harmless constructor

yes that was it just a simple driver update. i used to consider my computer new seeing how its a pentium 4 with XP professional but i see the technology gap starting to grow. now if only the game didnt crash every 5 turns or so. is that normal? mostly happens when i click something.

i think we should be able to decide where to land on the planent or what order u wanna try and take over the planet end. u could set up ur base in an open space or take over a farming district. naturally that'd be easier to take over and it would take more troops to take over the intial colony. u could decide just to nuke one whole sector like a market or something. and the embassy being one building would be a highly fortified area thats just easier t

i've been tracking this game for a long time but i just downloaded the beta today. i got it downloaded started it up. went i hit next button after the opponent AI screen i briefly saw i game loading bar then the screen went entirely black. after about 20 mins of waiting for somethng i restarted the program and tried again. same thing and i waited another 20 mins. then i figured the galaxy was what was affecting it so i set it to tiny and 4 other player

cool. will it fix the loadiing time? cause i just got beta and when i hit next after the Ai screen it showed a game loading bar then the screen went black. i waited for 30 mins or so playing my xbox and came back and it was still that way so i ended it by task manager tried it again. once again totally black screen for a long while so i ended it
