Robbie Boy, that tends to mean your DNS hasn't refreshed to see the server change. Or another connectivity error. You're not even getting to the server.

There's liable to be some more downtime around 3am EST Sunday morning. They're going to be doing some maintenance to try and prevent this from happening again.

Service has again been restored to the impacted data center, but we're not messing around with this anymore tonight. Everything important _should_ be functional via the other location (mostly subject to whether your dns servers locally see the ip changes), including software/skin downloads, activation (where needed), most forums, and contacting support. Some things are liable to be a bit slower, we're funneling a lot more traffic off this set of servers right now. Kris
The release version has "fish" rather than "fishes" for, I think, all the instances of it. The screenshots were from before that was tweaked.
d h, I've merged your account records and you should be set. Your issue was a stardock.net account record under a different account than your product registrations. Hashim, I expect your difficulty was the funky character in your nickname. Please try again and if it doesn't work, email \program files\sdcentral\activate.log to [email protected] .
MRL, please contact [email protected] directly. I've looked at your account records under your email address and I see your WB4 record, but I don't see an upgrade order to ODNT. Which, atm, is the only way to get the WindowBlinds 5 beta. Once it's released, it'll be added to your account record for download (provided you ordered after September 1st or have Object Desktop).
storage.stardock.com/files/sdcentral_setup.exe is the link. Add a http:// to the front of it.
If you have Build 97 and this is happening, close Stardock Central and install http://storage.stardock.com/files/sdcentral_setup.exe on top of it. Or, we'll have a new build 98 or 99 SDC beta available in an hour or two. If it is happening with Build 95 or a build later than 97, please indicate that if it's past 4pm EST this Friday.
Boot off a Windows CD and remove \windows\system32\drivers\vidstub.sys.
Is anyone having this problem with the Stardock Central reporting itself as Build 95 in Help / About? Or is it only from that Build 97 beta that went up for a brief time on Wednesday night?
Paypal is an additional option. The traditional cc/US check cards online remain. As does the order via appropriate check or money order bit via the mail.
I've found a copy with the latest SDK and we'll check into it to see if we can reproduce things. No need to upload. What video card and drivers are you using?
August 2005 or 2004? The 9.0c build was August 2004, but that's been "the build" for download apart from security updates. Can you put the DirectX installer somewhere I can get at it and email [email protected] a link? Though maybe Civ4 will have it when I pick that up today/tomorrow.
I've reset it, you should be set if you split the dirs.
It's a nice area of Michigan. And we are not an un-fun place to work. Kris
I have reset the activation records for your account. You should be set for the moment. Frankly, even with the way your IP's have varied since the purchase, it shouldn't have set off the flags. Will see if we can find out why it was blocked for these recent reinstalls. Note also that you can save the sig.bin for an app from a given OS install and you should be all set if you drop it back in the directory (like from a backup/restore).
JayStrux, offering betas for new releases to current Object Desktop customers is something we've had available for years. Only occasionally have we made beta releases available to anyone who wanted them. That's a bonus on top of all the applications that are available for your $50, as well as the updates and new ones that come out during the course of your subscription. You also keep the latest versions that were available when your subscription
ThemeManager supports this for .suite's. It's been used on a custom basis here or there, mostly there. We may expose the GUI to create them at some point, but it's not a priority for a variety of reasons. If you must know how to do it and can make sound schemes with appropriate effects (Beavis laughing when you close a window not being one of them), email me and I'll explain. Alternatives: alter the regkeys directly. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0
What airline can afford branded plastic cups these days? If I didn't look at the "proudly flying to madagascar once every 3 weeks" page in the back of the in-flight magazine I stole from my seatmate before he arrived, I wouldn't know what airline I was on. Sometimes I still don't, given their mergers and partnerships. I suggest a stopover in denver or chicago. You can get meat products and eat them on the plane. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm
And the skin not applying when you click the tooltip is a known issue.
Ignore the error about being unable to archive on the initial install (or just untick the box to auto-archive). As it's never been installed before, it's confused.
It's been less than 3 hours here since it went up. And it's suddenly got a lot more users than in testing. We've done a 4.90a build with a fix we were able to find for the nvidia driver issue. Please update to that and it should sort the over-bright saturation, can't drag the window issue. Make sure you reboot. There's a problem reported with the winzip main interface, but not the context menus. We'll be looking at that. One or two reports above of issues with machines prior
documents and settings\%user\local settings\application data\stardock\objectdockplus is created when ObjectDock.exe is run. Are you getting a crash dialog while running it? The dir is never created? Create it manually and extract http://sd.stardock.com/dock_remove.zip in there. Install and run SmartException from http://storage.stardock.com/files/smartexception.exe. Is a .cra crash log generated in \program files\stardock\smartexception when launches and then goes away? Launch it fro
