Your diagnosis is right - you can force the buttons to lose the focus by clicking on the cancel button, but sliding the mouse off it before releasing the click...that shifts the focus to the cancel button and the other button then shows the "correct" unfocused state. I noticed this too when skinning and pondered it for a while wondering what I'd done wrong. I bought CursorXP pro because there was something it did which I wanted and the shareware version didn't - but I forget what it was now! I've actually stopped using it for a while though as I'd started using ObjectDock and WindowFX and the alpha blending for CursorXP threw my video drivers into hyper slow motion when the cursor overlayed another alpha blended region. That said, I've stopped using ObjectDock

I dunno then. Turning off the google bar fixed the behaviour for me though, so maybe there was a WB version upgrade in there affecting things too or something, or maybe a change in the way IE deals with plugins? I've found that any theme/DX object which interogates the network through-put causes high CPU usage for this machine, and with services.exe too just as you report. If the theme you're usuing includes this feature, then delete just those objects and see if it improves things.

Yes I'm using IE, but I usually have Javascript either disabled or set to prompt, plus using google bar to block many popups, and sometimes using Proxomotron to really take control of things for some web sites to make them do what I want. I've tried Opera/Mozilla/most other browsers over the years when designing web sites to make sure they work with a range of browsers, but despite the flaws, since most web sites are lazy and only design for IE, I tend to stick with that now...Ah well...

That site opens a "pop under" window which then tries to kick of the a download of it's trickler download app under guise of calling itself "Precision time" - see http://cexx.org/gator.htm#ggviewer-offsite-nav-10105048 for details. Anyhow, when I check the link again now, the pop up attempted download isn't happening, so maybe that "ad" as on rotation on that site and has stopped for
