Something is definitely wrong there. I get 46 fps on a single GTX 970 on high (1080p) DX12 while I have tonnes of crap running in the background. What is your CPU usage like when running the benchmark? I would recommend trying setting AsyncComputeOff=1 in the Settings.ini in the "Documents\My Games\Ashes of the Singularity" directory. As a last resort maybe try physically removing one of the GPUs and see if it makes any difference, I would expect your si

I find double clicking air units is best for me. Supreme commander and Total Annihilation also had Ctrl+Z which selected all of the same type(s) as currently selected. This is something that I had heavily utilised in those games. There is presently a limitation to the number of units that can be selected at once. When dragging across a large army on the screen, if the unit count exceeds a threshold then many are not selected. So a hotkey to select
If you are only playing against AI, you could mod the game files. For the PHC Orbital Strike, edit the BuildingTemplates.csv file (Assets\GameCore folder), set the Orbital Command (PHC_MetalStore) "Prereq Flag" to "Disabled". For the Substrate Detonate, go into the WeaponModuleTemplates.csv file (Assets\GameCore\ModuleTemplates folder), set the "Required Flags" for Detonate (DetonateOrbital) to "Disabled". Make sure you save both as CSV, and cl
At 4K I can set to 200%. Increasing above 200% on 4K would put some UI items outside of the screen, 300% would not be recommended.
You can increase the UI scaling in options.
However, the UI scaling is limited by the screen resolution to make sure everything fits. If you are using the minimum screen resolution (1600x900), then scaling is locked to 80%, which causes a small amount of distortion but is still legible, below this, for example at 720p, the scaling is locked to 60% and text is no longer legible. Hence the minimum sy
I would like the option of controlling where the units come from. Right now when you order units using your army, it is an open offer to every factory you have.
I do not use reinforce at all for this reason, it is unreliable. The most amusing fail that I had was when I had two armies in opposite corners which had assemblies next to them, I set them to reinforce, and I watched units trek across the entire map crossing
The best counter to orbital strikes is to not cluster your whole army in a single spot. Spamming quanta producing buildings is still diminishing returns compared to the exponential cost increase.
What is different between full screen and borderless window?
Full screen unloads background applications from rendering, dedicating more GPU resources to the full screen application. Alt-tabbing requires the GPU to reallocate video memory to those applications which can cause a bit of a delay and sometimes crashes. Borderless window the applications things in the background are still being rendered which takes
What resolution and UI scaling are you using. Can you take a screenshot?
I find that if I haven't run AotS in a while then it takes longer to load (30-60 seconds), but it shows the "Optimizing Turinium Cores..." splash screen. The last time I had long black screen loading was back when the game was still in pre-alpha. System specs: i7 3930k under-clocked to 3.04GHz, 16GB ram, GTX970, AotS installed on a 2TB WD Green HDD. I would recommend that you submit a support ticket if you haven't already. <a href="https:
I forced 1280x720 in the settings.ini file. It loaded and ran fine at 720p, however the UI scaling down this low left all of the text barely legible, it not recommended to play at this resolution.
I would have preferred voice over dialogue (with optional subtitles) rather than text. This would have allowed uninterrupted game-play during the campaign missions and I could have helped better tell the story. When the text dialogue appears it often causes glitches such as locking camera scroll key-presses. The text box was small, and to the side, which felt like it was in the background often going unnoticed, although as it disables controls the game should really be paused or AI di
I mean assisting the factory building units. I'm afraid I dont understand what you mean. From your change log, 'Engineer build time reduced from 25 seconds to 20 seconds'. How is this anything other than 'a defined endpoint'? I mean, the construction of the unit ends exactly 20 seconds after it starts, with the result of a unit being produced...
If you have an engineer assist a factory building units,
How is that any different to factory build assist?
Do you mean assisting the factory being built, or assisting the factory building units? Assisting construction of buildings is an operation with a defined endpoint and should be able to be properly included in an order queue. Multi-GPU is pretty much limited to twice the slowest GPU as far as I am aware. Most iGPU are [explicit deleted] compared to dGPU, which will result in reduced performance compared to single GPU performance. If APUs with sufficient performance are released with HBM integrated for the iGPU, then the integrated GPU might feasibly be able to boost performance with low-mid range graphics cards.
The drone launcher has a minimum attack distance, this means a small group of T2 units which get into position can take it down pretty easily. The drone launcher is very strong against T1, but takes a long time to take down a T2 unit, long enough for them to hover right up to it. With AOE reduced to 100, and current minimum attack distance, this will leave individual drone launchers exposed to incursions. Will it have 99 AP rating?
So I dont know why but 16.3 does not stutter (I am talking about 4k@high@freesync)
At least it works I guess. Do you still have RMB panning issues on 16.3?
There shouldn't be any cloaking. Are you able to replicate this issue, if so it would be a good to get some screenshots or even better video of the issue. If units are not in direct line of sight (hill in the way) then they should not be visible. Radar cannot see around corners or through hills so shouldn't either. It is recommended to use aerial support as scouts to aid in detecting units that are not in line of sight for the ground forces.
Substrate take 80 seconds to build the Quantum Archive compared to 90 seconds for PHC. Quantum Archives also do not have pre-requisites, so can start being built as soon as you have radioactives, before the assembly is complete.
My criticism about the slower pace due to the slower economy was that the game was not very intellectually stimulating particularly at the start. Flickering light-bulbs would only help keep the 'ADHD' generation fixated on the game.
I for example am amazed by the amount of.quantum generators the substrate can rush at the begining of.the game. AI levels above Normal have cheat factors to resources, build speed etc to make them more difficult, so they will be able to expand much faster than you.
I have observed that recently trying to use orbitals near the enemy base, I have to place further away from the jammer than the UI indicates. It seems the distance for the UI to change the orbital placement icon from green to red and display the jamming text is different to the actual jamming distance.
