For example, why do I get a "No Resources" sometimes when I try and build something? What can I do to prevent this or fix this problem? Grifman

Yeah, I read that, thanks, but I was looking for a bit more - some early strategies, suggestions, etc. Grifman
Would some people be willing to post some tips to getting started? I'm a bit lost here in figuring out how everything fits together, what I need to look at, focus on, etc. Just had all but one of my worlds revolt so I wasn't doing something right :) Maybe a mini-FAQ for getting started? Grifman
Ok, got the beta awhile back, started to tinker with it tonight. My dumb question is - how do I build an improvement on a planet. I selected one - a banking center - but it never got built - nothing ever happened. Also, at the bottom it says "No resources" - does that have anything to do with it? I was able to buy a colony ship also, but again, couldn't seem to build one. Also, the scrolling on the description of new discoveries is rather slow and I have to click everytime to move i
From what I have read, there will be updates and additions the game for those the Drengin Net - think of it perhaps a "free"expansion pack. Those that buy the game outright won't have access to these upgrades. At least that is my understanding. Grifman
What's going on. I started up the Drengin Net Manager, but it doesn't show any updates for GalCiv. What am I doing wrong here? It gives me the option to uninstall or play, but but "upgrade" isn't a highlighted option. What gives? Thanks. Grifman
Ok, duh, I needed to tell DNet to "Show Betas". Now it shows up. It still would be nice to have a step by step explanation somewhere - though if there is, I apologize for missing it. Grifman
Ok, and let me add that I've downloaded the DNet Manager and registered. But the GalCiv beta still doesn't show up in the Games section. So what am I missing? Grifman :sniff!:
Ok, I broke down and got DNet. But when I go to the downloads or games section of DNet, no GalCiv beta? So how do I download the beta. I hate to say it, but this is anything but obvious - shouldn't it be a bit more clear? Then again, I am probably missing something obvious :) Grifman :sniff!:
Ok, looks like I waited too long, the price seems to have gone up quite a bit - wasn't it originally $50 or $60? When the price was about $10 more than the game, I was willing to pay that for some new stuff added to GalCiv later on, but now? $25 more seems a bit much (for me personally, YMMV) seeing as the only game I am interested in is GalCiv. So exactly what will Drengin bring me down the road with respect to GalCiv? (FYI, I'm not criticing anyone or the price changes, everyone has to mak
Ok, I can't remember. What do I get if I order GalCiv through Drengin.net vs. stand alone. I want to go ahead and put my money down, and I can't remember the benefits of Dnet. Thanks. Grifman
