Alessandro's points of interoperability sound great. Personally I don't use themes all that much because I like a little more control over everything. From a usage perspective I understand the problems with existing widgets but, these limitations seem to exist across most widget programs. The potential is there for far more. From a development perspective there is nothing quicker & easier to use in this arena. The real time development is a big plus in my books!

Without being too fancy this script simulates almost a square resize! There's like a split second lag but, I thought I'd pass this along. Sub Object_OnDrag(x,y,newX,newY) newh = newY + ObTop 'Take the newY plus the top offset to get the width neww = newX + ObLeft 'Take the newX plus the left offset to get the height If neww > Min_width And neww Min_height And newh DesktopX.Object(MasterObj).width = neww Desk

RomanDA thanks for that. I had it originally set like that running from the button not the base but, wrote the code quick in the base...nice catch thanks. The reason for not embedding was more of a personal preference to allow people to customize the sounds for example mine makes a fart at the moment. I'm also thinking about cleaning up the resize script to make it more square.

Uploaded to deviantart & submitted both to objects and widgets gallery. I'll remove the sendspace link when it's out of moderation.

There is just one issue where the right click does not make the button push down That was never mentioned just a right click sound. how do i pick which folder/ file it links to? drag & drop on the button.

Of course. Just wanted to make sure it's done. Thanks for the comments on the coding but, other than preference dialog and a few tweaks I just used Roman's Resize Script & I believe sViz's folder/file browsing scripts. If everyone's okay with it I'll put it up both here & at dA. vStyler, if you have a dA account let me know because I'll link to it in addition to your Wincustomize site.

Latest nightly. I think this is done? Get it at sendspace Drop file or folder on the button to create the shortcut. Sound file(s) are attached but not embedded. By default I pointed these to hard drive eg. c:\easybutton.mp3. Select sound file you wish to use in widget under preference tab in properties.

I know what you're saying for some reason it sticks the sound file into the Mouse away event. That's been fixed. And somehow I disabled right click menu's on all my widgets by default.

This isn't done but, I need to head out. It's resizeable; so, look for a diagonal arrow in the bottom right corner. Both Left & Right sounds default to the Easy Button Sound. I'll probably put settings to change those in the properties dialog. Zip includes both object & widget Download at Sendspace

Bushman, I for one am said to see your behavior and to see you go. There are things/behaviors on this site that I don't agree with but, that is part of what the democracratic process is. The majority rules otherwise if one or a few people have their way it is a dictatorship or totalitarian type of place that I don't wish to belong to. Best wishes to you in your future endeavors.

Are you using an install program or just instructing your users to drag the shortcut object from the CD/DVD to their desktop? Actually scratch that. Why don't you set it up so on first run the menu creates the object and the link. Then you could give more control over setting the menu to auto run upon inserting the disc or saving options to disable auto run.

So I guess this is the thick of it huh! Taking a legimate complaint and turning it into a joke... So much for democra(c)y. Democracy Definition By number five in the definition I guess you're somewhat right and maybe many others share your opinion but, choose not to say or do anything...that seems more like a democracy. Legitimate complaint is right. But, you chose a protest and protests rare

I don't know CLWoods, but I see actions like that as hypocritical, personally. I mean, why complain about an image like the one found here I found no disgust with the picture Emily posted, just that it was in poor taste & definitely when attached to this particular thread at this point in time somewhat antagonistic. What is totally wrong is that CLWoods isnt allowed on this thread to defend herself or her actions.</d

expect all privileges my WC subscribtion allows, so don't go messing with me in that area or it will get legal (no threat, just a fact). I missed construed this previously and for that you have my profound apologies. Don't know why I even thought this was directed towards the community itself. Can someone please explain to me exactly what Brad or Boopish did that is so wrong? They both brought up valid concerns & others seemed to be the ones who

It's not a matter of moral or ethics, the site does not work with those, as the basic fuel for it is the current income. It's just plain business. Don't go thinking too far, reality is much colder than you think. It's not the Age of Heroes, it's the Age of Business Men. again who's morals? who's ethics? Also, the last I heard this site wasn't exactly making money let alone breaking-even. From a pure cold business perspective after five years if a busines
