Sally: unfortunately, what appears 'free' is not always free. An example. Let's say I upload a wallpaper here. Another person comes a long and downloads it, and puts it on his site in a way that anyone can grab it. He may not be charging money for it, but what if he has a banner? Your wallpaper/skins/icons, etc. are content, which generates traffic, which generates revenue. Shouldn't you have the right to say who you want to make money for? That's what people don't under

That is a bit in question, if I recall the past conversaion. As far as I know, on this particular site screenshots are fine, as long as you cover up enough of the wallpaper so that people can't just clip it out. My perspecitve is that a screenshot is a documentation of your desktop, and therefore the wallpaper is fair, or even incedental, use. I would suggest linking it and giving credit for those that want their stuff to match as you have yours. Of course including it in the zip is

JM: No I'm fairly unstable, disagreable, and elitist; it just takes a lot of energy to keep a suitable level. I'll get some sleep and take my vitamins. I appreciate the thought, though. St. John's Wort makes you pee green.

The only benefit I can see is removing redundantancy. Beyond jsut appearances, if I replace and enhance the desktop and taskbar functionality with my own, it seems a *bit* wasteful to run both. The average machine now, though, will easily have the resources to do it, and explorer is plenty stable enough to sit there behind the scenes. In the past that wasn't true, 128 was probably all you had, and a redundant app you weren't using was liable to crash you fairly often. I replace Explo

hrm. Only problem I see with a section is the fact that this app uses icons for the majority of its art. It will be another of those areas that people are constantly tying to upload stuff they didn't make. Icons are sadly 'free-use' in the minds of a lot of people. If the moderators don't mind it, it would be cool.

It was published with no reference to the context, by reporters that overheard her say it in a private conversation. I think it sucks that there is such a big deal over it. The members of Bush's staff call the PM of Canada 'Dino' (for dinosaur) constantly. The idea that a single, overheard word could end somone's career is horrible to me, even if I disagree with the word itself. no apology necessary form my perspective, motion.

Well, the majority of sections are skinnables, so I figure the average person that downloads a wallpaper probably got there through a skinner's "view authors skins". That would lead one to believe the most visible skinners are the most visible wallpaper artists as well. This, like everything, is about advertising. Wallpapers are moderated, skins are not. You have a better chance of spreading a link to your gallery around if you upload a lot of skins. People click the link, they see

Not as much as I would like. I just try to carry something with me all the time. Waiting to pick up my little girl from school, when I'm cooking something that I can't walk away from, etc. I keep a lot of ebooks on my laptop, too. It usually adds up to enough time to finish something every couple of weeks. I think it would do me wonders if I made more time, though. What I would really like to have more time for is other languages.
