Make it a bit more accessible to outside control than it currently is, and you could just use DXPlayer and create lots of different DX widgets for it! Right now DXPlayer control of CoolPlayer is limited to basic commands because not everything is remotely operable and the amount of monitoring that can be done is very low.

TSF: Why? They have the rights to say what you do with the content, because those are the conditions under which you get to use the music. That's what you paid for. You didn't pay to be able to listen to it in WMP. If you don't like their conditions, don't buy the music from them. And if it's not available from anyone else, complain to the other people selling music tracks. And if they say the music labels won't let them (chances are that's the source

Hi there - I'm the person who is working on DXPlayer for Stardock. No it isn't possible to do what you want right now. The problem is that DXPlayer does not have a way to connect the video window to an object. It would be good if it could, I agree. I will be looking at making it so that you can do that in a future version of DXPlayer. You would probably set it so that you just set an object to be "display player window" or something similar and it woul

Mike, did you get an autoreply to that? If you got nothing at all, chances are the mail or its reply didn't get through. If you did, did you use the approrpiate format when sending it again? (I think you need to put NOT RESOLVED in the subject)

Stardock does well. But I think we could do better. Documentation-wise, in particular - there are a lot of questions that get asked that shouldn't need personal answers (and not always because the user didn't look ). Some things are still hard to use, too. This is the sort of thing where you can make gradual improvements, though, so I suspect things will change a

This may be "Limited User support" in the latest History, but it was never mentioned explicitly that I could see. Local Settings is used so that it does not try to move the DesktopX themes around while roaming, which would be network-costly and time-consuming.

That's because it puts them in a more appropriate place, %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX\CurrentTheme\ People were complaining that maybe putting it inside the application directory was not the best place for user-specific information.

Wow. That's some Christmas present. Unfortunately, I really don't like ObjectDock or have any wish to use it at all, but I'm sure there will be others who do and will find your plugin support highly useful. You should talk to Stardock and see if they'd be interested in including your plugin with the distribution (subject to it not breaking stuff <img src="../images/smiles/smile.g

Personally I use Winamp as well. I want something nice and unobtrusive that plays music in the background, not a music shop or something that takes 1200 GDI handles to load (iTunes). However I have had to use many in my time, and overall they all had their advantages and disadvantages. I would also be interested to hear what people use in the WC community, because I wish to make sure that <a href="https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?Forum

OK. I have implemented clip rating as gauges, sliders, faders and text display. This feature is supported by iTunes, WMP (internal) and Winamp 5.04+ (with the Media Library), although there is a bug in the Winamp handling of setting - DXPlayer-altered ratings will only show up correctly in the media library after restarting Winamp. Using either 5 or 10 stars works well for gauges (there are 11 "notches", from 0 to 10). If not set manually, the

I think that 1000 should stay as well. This may be a significant first achievement for someone who uploads in the less popular areas and who is not a "big name". It may not mean much on the scale of things, but if it encourages them to go for later ones then I'm all for it.

You might be interested to know . . . WB did support vector stuff in alpha at one point. The idea was partially to improve performance. It never really worked out. Skinners (particularly of the artistic sort) were used to making images in paint programs and the restrictions of the vector format were too great. WB's performance with image moving also improved to the point where it might actually be slower to
