This actually looks more like a CPU problem than a WB problem. I think Neil is right that WB is merely exposing the problem. Just to be safe, you should send an email or call AMD and see if they have anything useful to say.

I take offence at that. It's not a pre occupation with appearance. I don't think you can observe form with out observing appearance. I took the test trying to be the most extreme and it still said I have a very well developed sense of right and wrong, etc. I guess it always says that. I think the rest of the test is okay, though. I see your point, but the corporate world and government are necessary evils. There would be no world with out governemnt or business. The best thing to do is for me to get elected, possibly to President of the world.
What is a good search then? They're all vunerable to manupulation from people who can click on their link all day, or by the highest bidder. There is no good solution anymore. I think it's actually hard to compare the two, since Firefox 1.5 is relatively new, while IE6 is 5 years old or so. I think. Sure, Microsoft could have updated it with more than security patches, but when IE7 comes out, it will be a more fair comparison. But I do agree that competition will improve all the browsers.

People say every company is trying to take over the world. Microsoft was trying to take over, Yahoo, IBM. Wikipedia is trying to take over information. Dell is trying to take over the computer market. Ford and GM are trying to buy all the car companies and take over. Same with record labels, and food companies and prescription drugs and just about everything else. It's just business. It's not pretty, but they have to do what they have to do.
Google is a public company. They have to make money. To not do business with China would simply be foolish. So many people here seem to be anti-business, and anti-government at the same time. I don't get it.
Look in the screenshots thread up there and see if there is anything that looks good. Some had a WB called Dragon which looked pretty good.
I got the MS wireless Bluetooth mouse, since my laptop has BT built into it. Eats a ton of batteries, so I got a few of those NiMH rechargable batteries. Works out great. I like being able to do my mousing from across the room.

WB shouldn't be affecting system resources either. I've heard of WB making the system a bit quicker since it uses the graphic card.
I agree, John. If a more prominient website like Cnet did a review, they usually do go into performance tests. If Cnet can review anything from cars to stereos to Photoshop, why can't they review OD?
After reading through the comments, everyone there thinks that WindowBlinds alone is $50. The writer of that should clarify. Even I think $50 would be too much for WB alone, but is a good deal for all the OD apps. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd register an tell these people OD is a pretty worthwhile thing to have.
