Vista isn't even out yet, and people are already looking into 'Vienna?' If they say 2011 now, don't expect it before 2020. Besides, it seems to be that the way hardware and software is developing, in 5 years anything they're working on now would be completely obsolete.

Just read somewhere on this forum that you have to roll back 6600 drivers to 77.77. I think it was in the 'Read this if your UI is black and painting slowly' thread.
The only was I could see that working is if Stardock made skinners who wanted their products for free sign a contract saying they have to make a minimum number of skins per month, or year. And I have a feeling Stardock nor skinners would want to have to deal with that. If you don't want to share your creativity, then just use it on your own computer. Nobody is forcing you to share, and yet, so many people are more than happy to do so.
Think Apple will shut it down, like Microsoft got rid of Kol's VistaXP?
If you use IP, it doesn't have any open processes open. It just replaces the default icons, so nothing should be slow. WB shouldn't slow it down if configured properly to your hardware.
Since transparency is now possible, and widely used, I think a cool feature for Windowblinds would be to add effects to what is underneath. Right now the windows can go translucent, but what if it could do a burn or dodge effect, or a contrast change, or hue, or saturation. Don't know how this would end up looking, but it could be cool.
Make sure you know what you're doing before messing around with msconfig. Could really screw things up.
All you need to know about gas prices are that they're too high. Although, I suppose knowing how much I'm being screwed could be helpful...
It isn't very polite to post competitor's software here.
Yeah, I think they could get rid of that 'Starfield' screen saver. That's probably older than I am.
But look on the bright side, I'm sure that most Stardock users bought the software, or are at least using legitimate trial versions. The only real way to be sure someone is using a legitimate version is probably an invasion of privacy and is illegal. The irony.
You guys are so critical of people's spelling. Anyway, I get that spyware could be hidden in a skin, but as I said, why would someone go to the trouble of designing a skin, just to spread spyware around? There are more efficient ways of causing trouble.
There really isn't anything to be done. Even big companies like Microsoft and Adobe have tons of pirated software and cracks all over the net. It's just part of running a popular software company.
Under that menu click on 'Customize This Folder,' and change it to Documents for normal settings.
Yeah, what's with all the close-up grass and plants for the wallpapers? Shouldn't they show a far away view of something, seeing as how that's what 'Vista' means. Unless they're trying to be ironic. And if they are, that's lame.
Yes, when, and why only 3 categories?
Don't see why Winamp would be more likely to have spyware. Why would anyone put spyware in a skin anyway? Sure there are assholes all over, but I don't think they would put the time and effort into making a skin just to screw with people.
If by spyware, you mean gumdrops and sunshine, then yes it should be included. If by spyware, you mean spyware, then no, spyware shouldn't be included in anything, anytime, anywhere.
I think we've established that Windowblinds is the most wanted app to be in. IconPackager seems to have a good following. Winamp, or media players in general and Firefox also seem to have a good amount of votes. If Firefox is chosen, Thunderbird should be included in it. This all sounds pretty good to me, although I don't get why there should only be 3 categories. Anyone know? I want to see widgets in here for all the big widget a
Being able to steal at a young age isn't something to brag about.
Hmmm. I sent an email to them too, and I got a bunch of responses like that back too. Usually it's in groups of 3, about 20 min apart, a few times a day.
can't even imagine what V will look like a a few years. Maybe it will be like the progression from Classic Winamp skins to Modern ones. No more regular boxes and everything being parallel to the rectangular screen. We can only hope.
Maybe it did. Monica could've been a lot smarter than everyone gave her credit for.
I was watching that for 5 hours.
