To the devs. Are there going to be any hot fixes before the next beta.
There is an update available on Stardock Central right now. Fixes the invasion crash and some other things. A full change log is available here: https://forums.galciv2.com/?aid=172386
So this is once in the whole game right? This isn't something you have to do every turn? So basically for now, beeline to transport tech and invade once in the game first before an AI invades you just to bring up the screen then cancel and save transport for later or go ahead and invade. Only prob is you better be a warmonger to one civ early on. So much for peace. Oh well the galaxy is a dangerous place.
One thing someone suggested on another thread was

Before the AI does it to you. The problem is in the screen itself. When an AI invades an AI it doesn't bring up that screen, so it won't crash. It does not persist over restarting GC2. You will have to do it once every time you start the program. If you start a new game from within an existing game, you shouldn't have to do the workaround if you already did it in your first game.

I'm sorry I misunderstood your post about the battle/selection bug. Does this happen with every battle? Do you have any saved games that reproduce the bug? If so, please zip them and send them to [email protected] with a description of the problem. Or are there any steps I can take to reproduce it? What ships were involved? Does it only happen for fleets? What battle options do you have enabled at the tim
Oddly enough I have been invaded several times and it never crashes on me. I am playing with a heavily modified game however. Additionally I have a mod for invasions also enabled.
Yours probably didn't crash because of this work-around: As long as you invade a planet before any AI players do, it shouldn't crash. If you don't want to invade, just invading to bring up the screen and then cancelling should be enough to prevent the crash from occurrin
1) Diplomacy - Unique techs are no longer flagged with *
This has been fixed for next beta. Also, there is a related bug on research screen where the unique race icons do not show. This has also been fixed. I am currently working on the invasion screen crash. EDIT: The invasion screen crash has been fixed.
Are we supposed to be getting an animated battle on the video screen on this build or is that comming on a later build? Right now mine is just black.
The video that is played is based on the improvements on the planets. In the beta that is available we do not have a lot of videos yet. If you attack a planet and it has no improvements or the improvements do not have a video, it will be black at the top of the screen. I've made changes to make a default
Unarmed ships have a result of zero, so they're always last.
This is not always the case. Special components like the ones that add to the fleet's attack will have a certain amount added to the targeting amount. It was probably not enough to put it in front of his other ships though.

Ok, it is fixed for the next update. If you put your large ships in a fleet with a terror star, no matter how you do it (by removing the ships one by one in the fleet manager, or fleet context window, or by disbanding them in any screen) the ships will have whatever moves left the fleet had.

Please try the newest beta, version 3D. There were several issues that caused this kind of "freeze up" that have been fixed in that version. If you still notice this happening, please zip and send us your saved games and give instructions to reproduce the hang up. Thanks.

Do you have a saved game where this is occurring or can you gives steps to reproduce this? I'm trying to reproduce it and it displays the same on both screens for me. This is what I did: I have 3 ships each with 1 beam, and the starbase gives +1 beam to each of them. Both screens indicate that there is 6 beams in the fleet, 3 from the attack value and 3 from starbase assist. If you have a saved game that demonstrates the problem, please zip it and send
