I've fixed the bug where some planets would use the old generated textures.

Drengin, the Mars texture has not been updated.
These have been fixed, but were not included in beta 1a + Fixed bug where empty line would appear in combat viewer battle log after first round if neither fleet/ship had an atlas-type component + Minor races will now use DefaultTechTree for their tech trees + Fixed bug where background on tech tree screen did not pan + Fixed centering of icons on tech tree screen + Fixed bug where if planet screen was open when you colonize a planet, the planet screen w
Thanks for reporting this one. I found the problem and fixed it. However, the fix did not make it into today's update. It will be in the next update though. Thanks!
After all, such a ship would be a high value target
The targeting system for fleet battles has been modified slightly so that ships with the new modules are preferred over a ship that has the same stats minus the new module. The targeting system has not been finalized yet so we may change this.
Purge, you are correct. If you remove ship B, you'd get 16 moves.
Thought I would open this up, and invite those of you who really understand the nitty gritty of the combat system to chime in here and comment, to know how to best make use of the fleet modules.
Hi. I'm the developer who worked on both the new modules and the combat system, so maybe I can shed some light on the subject. Check out my post on this thread explaining how the speed modules work:
When attacking with a fleet with a advanced warp bubble on one ship, the other ships loose the bonus from the bubble the way you use up to 4 movement point for one battle.
This has been fixed. However, it did not make it into today's update.
To clarify how warp bubbles and similar fleet-speed-enhancing (FSE) modules work: If the ship is by itself, it will get the speed bonus + its base speed. If the ship is in a fleet, the best FSE module in the fleet becomes the active FSE ship. The movement points for this ship are ignored when calculating the fleet speed. So, the fleet's moves will be based off of the ship with the least moves in the fleet (not counting the active FSE ship) plus the FSE bonus.<
I can confirm that the problem has been fixed and will be in the next update. Be sure to let us know if you still get a crash when you do this after the update. Thanks.
Cari has fixed the blue line on the map. Please send in the save though. I'd like to figure out why some planets get old textures, and having your save could provide a good test case.
Seilore, Do you have a saved game where this is occurring? If so, please zip and send it and your debug.err file to . Please provide a link to your forum post in your mesage. The blue line in the second picture looks like it's trying to make the camera view lines, but something is happening to make them go funky.
There was no sound but I'm pretty sure I saw Zoomba playing a song on his Banjo(or guitar?). There was someone dressed as an angel and mittens is really tall. He actually went off-frame.

It was CodeCritter who was playing the banjo.
Yep that was me on the banjo. I'll admit it. I'm a bluegrass fan.
There have been reports of "invisible ships." This is what seems to be happening with the fleets that show only a number. We've been able to reproduce this and fix it and the fix will be included when we update next. Can you please post your debug.err file? This should be in My Games/GC2TwilightArnor. Just open it in notepad and copy/paste the contents of the file here. After doing that, try renaming the /MY Games/GC2TwilightArnor folder. You coul
I'm thinking the person who told me that PI was on the drengin tree may have been confused with something he picked up in trade.
It's very possible that the other person did get it from a trade. When you trade for a tech, it will replace the equivalent tech in your own tech tree with the version from the civ with whom you traded. If you do not have an equivalent tech, the tech is merged into your own tree based on its tech requirements. So
Please download and install SmartException. It is a free program and will provide us with the address of exactly where in the code the game crashed. This would help us a lot. You can get the program in Stardock Central's Free Stuff section. Once you install it just run it and then play the game. If it crashes, it will generate a report. Just send the report to . If you have a saved
I don't think your screen shot posted. Where is the misspelling?
I am having trouble reproducing this. Can you please send in your .shipcfg file for this ship? The .shipcfg file should be located in /My Documents/My Games/GC2DarkAvatar/Ships. It will begin with SX_UD_ (where X is a number) and have the name of the ship after that. Please send that file to . Please provide a link back to this forum post in your message. Also, do you rotate the par
I am happy to let you all know that the cause of this has been found, and a fix will be available in the next update. Thank you for your patience as this one was very tricky to track down.
For those of you with the mouse cursor problem, please check to make sure you have the latest video driver for your graphics card. This helped one user with the problem here: https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=421&aid=164965 <P class=MsoPlainText s
Try disabling the "Use Enhanced Ship Rendering" option in the options screen Video tab, and see if this fixes the problem. Please let us know if that works or if it continues to look unusual. Also, as David A Lessnau stated above, you can try updating your video drivers and see if that improves the situation. If that does not help, please save your game and zip it. Send it as an attachment to <STRONG
If you still get the combat crash, please zip up that saved game and send it with instructions on how to reproduce the crash to gc2bugs@stardock . Please put "ATTN: CodeCritter" in the subject line.
I just use my username.
I fixed the planet trade route problem, so no need to send in any games. That fix too will be in the next update. Thanks!
If anyone has some example games with ships that have this problem, please zip them send them in to . Please put "Attn: CodeCritter" in the subject line.
