Interesting ideas, but I'd prefer to have the spell set to the same as what reall trolls get and that is +4 hp turn plus any shard scaling. Even so, it is weak and still won't save you in battle if you're taking lots of damage.

Kiting is crap tactic. Yes it's abusable that way, but how many are going to do that every battle. Since I don't do that, I see regereneration as incredibly weak. It is in need of a big brother, or increases to effectiveness and scaling. Back to topic, yeah you're right about the buildings. But I don't see a reason to make new or existing buildings require them. However, it would be nice to have extra damage or protection added to created

In general I would like to see weapons do more damage. As far as balancing weapon types though. I hate to hear the word nerf at all. Counter attack is the best cause others don't stack up well against it you say. I would argue Maul is king. Then Bash is second. As to possible suggestions - *Piercing weapons such as spears and pikes doing double damage to mounted units. Criticals could cause even more damage. (other

alright my own 2 cents. Magic is in serious need of addressing. I could bold this. put a period after each word. make it bright pink and neon. I would like to see the following addressed since I went to lengths to mention magic 1) Magic balanced based on player choosing 1 or two magic flavors at the most. Some people can take more but you only get so many creation points. Magic takes 2 points, everything else cost 1. This means that all the el

I think having a "Path of the Summoner" at level 4 would be nice as well. Maybe reduces summoning spells by 50% in tactical. Guarantees the Summon I,II, III skills show up on subsequent level ups. Possibly new sets of skills like Enhanced Summons Attack I,II,III and Enhanced Summons Defense I,II,III I mean even a warlock or melee-er can summon basic versions. If the summons got more of a boost under a summoner. Whoa. watch out. <

I am not sure what type of Sov. the OP has. As mentioned even a caster/warlock type can get by with some spearmen type early units. Just heal or enchant up if you are not a melee type. I said before the random number generator is a merciless god. Sometimes it can be good to you and other times it can deal you crap repeatedly. I have played a few games with the new world generation at startup. Balanced world with moderate settings. Sometimes yo

Procip's crown is god like it's so OP. there's no limit to the # of enchants you can have. All of them. No cost. Turns that Sov into steamroller. I also came to ask/wonder if Sean thought of making a "Path of the Summoner" to give something to those who want to try to play a summoner type. Maybe ask for it out of Stardock.

I would like to see spell maker/editor. I would also like to see monster editor/maker. Also once you make certain monsters you could designate them summonable or summons only - to be used with spells / abilities. Campaign maker I also certainly hope for. To link maps / grant rewards to take with you to the next map. Item maker would be well received. Make items for use whether it's a new roast pork recipe or pig sticker. place them at c

And here I was hoping for asking about balance between the various flavors. The shard scaling also. If you wanted to just have a couple types or one. You are most likely not going to get type that you want.

I know that since there's currently no naval and no real reason to have coasts and differentiate bodies of water. I instead agree with the above because larger land mass type maps need diversity. I'm thinking the range of terrains from Colonization or FreeCol. Also agree that there needs to be some narrow places or choke points every once in a while. Also, varied terrain means varied fertility / materials / essence. Having some unit trai

I don't recall the xml for each weapon, but some magic weapons have a portion that is usually "normal weapon damage" and a portion that does extra element type damage. In the case of the ranged staves I believe it is all element type. I also don't believe the axes should have had a problem "hitting" the enemy. Damaging them, however, should have been something akin to just a regular axe hit.
I can tell you, as the AI guy, it loses a lot of cities and pioneers and outposts each game. My suggestion is to look at the traits each AI player has. If they're an expansionist or aggressive, look out. They'll go all over. But others, like isolationists, rarely expand but instead focus on building up.
Point taken. I'll start watching them and looking at their traits too.&nbsp

I am by no means a expert player, but the expansion outpaces me. The new production changes and increased costs puts me at a slower pace. I think I do fairly well for start locations. I have had some 3 or 4 material sites for the first city. I guess that because I build a bell tower / logging camp I am not exactly rushing pioneers. But they can take 11 turns to build if you don't. -- long story short.. every time I meet an AI they have DOUBLE the

Agree. From the Opening Screen / Movie to playing the game it is absolutely gorgeous. Music and Sounds are equally candy to the ears. I gotta say something about the Fonts since much has been said about them and how hard it was to get it right. The fonts are amazingly good.
