haha so true..
Supreme Shogun
Default right now.
1 anomaly turned out to be worth 1bc Although my first one was 2500bcs ! Not bad for starting up.
Graphics: 11/10 Gameplay: 11/10 Sound: 11/10 Pros: Many Cons: ??? I'll have to get back to you on that. J/K! Seriously, NONE. Stardock Delivers! & the crowd goes wild! Wow, what an amazing game. It will blow you away. High quality graphics, sound, music. Graphics are very beautiful. Movies are impressive. A++ for the tutorials. Game is newbie friendly and Gal Civs veterans can jump right in
don't know why but I was playing at a lesser resolution, probably default, but once desktop res match game rez everything was cool. Mouse appears, can play game fine.
Issue: Dissappearing Mouse Windows XP SP 2 English Nvidia 5200 MX (with latest drivers, promise! ) AMD Athlon 1600 1 Gb memory I cannot find my mousey at the title screen to push one of the buttons - new game, metaverse, options, etc.. GCConfig I tried enabling hardware cursor and no dice. Please help. Thx.
One thing... Lets say you named your race "Sol Survivors" after you created it you saved it right? Then you went and modified the xml file.. so now when you're back at the game you'd need to load the race again. The game would have what's called currentcustomrace in its memory (last custom race you played and it wouldnt have the xml changes) hope that helps.
With so many improvements it is surprising to see that the original game's Achilles heel remains: no multiplayer. I think Frogboy convinced us on the forums however, reviewers are a different matter. I disagree with the reviewer. I don't see it as a flaw at all.
I tend to disagree. Specialization works for me. It's harder on small-tiny maps since once in a while you may be stuck with your starter planets. But, having several planets focus on military I can crank out ships. My research bases are busy making RP all the time. Only have somebody focus on social to speed up upgrades or initial builds.. To each their own.
Now look Mr Cheyney,I am sure you should be back at work by now. ROFLMAO. Good one.
Cheers for Stardock! Pre-load rocked. Thumbs up for release day.
Discussing it on a forum isn't nearly as bad as waiting a whole week in a costume, sleeping in a tent to be the first to see a sci-fi movie.
*bump, giggle, and run* It's baaack! Well it is release day. I'd bet anything that the exact case is the opposite. It's not doomed but really really successful.
Well theres the Metaverse/ Galactic Library for that. Definitely love the troop transport one.
Well it's release day. *Bump* Come on peeps, make this thread longer than any other thread. Much luv for Stardock. Without a doubt will pre-order again.
Right now, cursing Star Force for the last time and removing it. I am sorry for not listening to the warnings. After that maybe fire up ol' Morrowind for some indiscriminate slaughter or CIV 4. I'm so excited I can't sleep.
Well yeah in a sense I agree with that. I would say they 'streamlined' the improvements along with the tech tree. You still have plenty of choices. You also have a governor, who can upgrade your tiles automatically so if you learn how to build more efficient factories you don't have to worry about micro managing every single planet. Which I think
Heh. Beat me to it.
and all the creatures were stirring... Even a Kat Lord or Two. The Jedi are assembling in their hallowed halls. Diplomats are uniting. The Federation has begun mustering up. Even a colonial fleet has appeared. Threats from an overmind are looming.
Well its 'Vanilla Gal Civ' ensures everyone is playing by the same rules and all is fair/equal. Cause you can mod GC2 all you want and play a sandbox game with those mods.
Sometimes though a 'minor' race will popup on a previously 0 planet. Now it's 15 PQ! Can you say cannon fodder? hehe.
1500 hrs EST. 3pm for you civilians. Since one never knows. I'll check it early once or twice. May be futile.. but.. I CANT WAIT!!
All of the above. I mean you can have a complete Star Wars mod. (or insert your favorite Sci-Fi here mod) I've played at least 30 different mods of Civ4. I expect I'll give anybodys GC2 mod a whirl if they publish it.
Your card will be fine. As has been said before its 'scaling', older less powerful cards can still play the game but not much eye candy, ooh ah stuff as what you will see.
As much as you can stack on. Ah there's the kicker. You only have so much room to put on stuff (except for the bling/eye candy parts which are unlimited). But miniaturization will help you stack more on. It's also really hard to put much on in the beginning, of course. Later on newer techs are more powerful weapons and same size or smaller. Same goes for defenses.
