I actually had trouble with the curse city stacked 5 times and no investment in the magic tree for dispell. And I think its Pariden that was cursing me. Early game it can shut an entire city down..and if you have 2cities..thats 50% of your empire frozen..especially annyoing not knowing who cast it..at least if you know then you could kill that faction.

Not a bug..You cant just zerg rush every battle! I had this problem with drake splash..80s hitting the entire army killing everryone in 1 hit..I used to tactics to win the battle(on reload)..arranging my army with spaces in between so the splash didnt activate. Won the battle with only 1 loss to a lucky crit. Adapt or die :)
I got this one too. I think the bit about the guy not being able to pay you and thus you attack him is correct but missing an option.
hmm well razing the city didnt work...whoever it was just cast the 5 curses on my other city :( How is the Ai affording to maintain 5 city curses per turn fairly early in the game?
You can give all your troops the stealthy attribute which makes them less likely to be attacked
ISome unknown soverien has cast 5 versions of a +unrest spell on my city. Is there anything I can do about it?
Combat animation are significantly slower with this patch and movement of units in combat is choppy. Its like everyone is choreographing their attacks..I had rare problems with this last patch and while this is faster its happening every combat..is there any way to turn off combat animations? I like the new fallen terrain trees/swamps/whatever!
Glen Cook's Instrumantalities of the Night series is awesome.
Simpson did it! ...erm I mean James Clamens did it a year before in an excellent dark fantasy (with steampunk elements and an Arya-esk character) called Shadowfall. Cook is a horrid writer..no flow to his words at all.
The Malazan Book of the Fallen series is pretty good, and suitably long to keep you occupied for a while. Took me a whole year to read it. The story gets a bit too philosophical and meandering at times, so not quite as fast paced as Game of Thrones, but still worth a read.
Memories of Ice (MBotF) is one of my favorite books of all time! Symphony of Ages (starting with Rhapsody) series by Elizebeth Hayden and Steven B
A better search function on theseforums would solve that..or some moderation to sticky previously answered questions. In this case I think you are wrong. No way does FE need an always on connection just to update files. Are they really making changes and just not letting anyone know? Thats a poor way to test. And as far as I can tell my game never auto downloads the actual beta update, which would save me some time. Ive never seen my game update itself in any fashion so I'm
I moved to a new apartment this week and discovered I cant play Fallen Enchantress without an internet connection. How long will this DRM scheme interfere with my ability to use the product I purchased?
Would be nice...mine doesnt auto update or give any notice..I have to check the support forum for news
The game's AI currently is a toddler when using all the systems they've added. Sots1 AI is still a work in progress after so many years..they never did get the ships to equip proper weapon layouts or do anything in combat but fly straight for the planet.. Exactly who is going to trust an all clear from a company that called this game "all clear" ready for sale 6 months ago? Honestly/perspective about the condition of their games is not one of Kerberbos' strong points.
Blizzard has done jsut about everything bad to a gameyou can 1) Nerfed WoW into the ground for the masses 2) Constant online DRM starting with sc2 3) Real money gaming in d3 Yes a lot of gamers wear black but that doesnt mean we dont have values..I wont put my resources toward a company bent on ruining gaming so some shareholders can feed their trophy women. I'm uncomfortable as it is with Jon "civkiller" Shafer lurking about.
What, my dear sir, is a "Cheeble"?
Good read. Where are sand golems from? Any idea what your total time played is ? Generating money with only 1 city is hard but you do get gold from killing monsters, and you can sell items you dont need and well as spend 2-3 turns with taxes jacked to max.
I can confirm this problem too. In my current game there are two AI cities with Shrill Lords within its boarders and one with Drakes. In all 3 cases the lairs are generating wanderers (good!) but those wanderers ignore the nearby AI city and head towards mine. This has forced me to place troops in all my outposts (good!) but its gets annoying after a while and I really dont like it when I lose a developed city to a shrill army showing up, which is a huge setback compounded by the fact I cant
You did better than me heh. My cities keep getting eaten by wandering monsters so I'm never in the top power rankings. Good read though!
So this is done on purpose then? I find it really annoying that the old land is unusable. Wasnt the destruction of the city enough punishment ?
Hello. The heal spell IMHO is too easily exploited in the hands of a human playeer while the AI will never use it to its full extend. I would propose changing it. Healing needs to be less easy to spam and have some random elements so its not so much better a spell for the human than the computer players. I'd also like to make it so hero units with healing spells are free to do other things during the battle other than heal every turn. I would also suggest creating a healing-type spell for
I like it ..sounds reasonable though is this stretching into mana's territory? I would argue the heal spell itself needs to be reworked..its too easy and make so much sense for a human player to assign one char to just heal every turn..while the AI will never do that. Gotta either get rid of heal or givea version to each type of magic. It feels to me the problem is not overpowered spells its powerful spells like heal being cast every turn. Perhaps eliminate mana all together and m
are you ever going to post vidoes of brad's kids in pjs watching on the big screen...cause pics or it didnt happen
Paradox Marketing again planting ads via proxy
Apples and Oranges. Other than a fantasy backdrop the two games are very different. I wonder if this is a proxy post sent by the paradox marketing firm... "blah blah blah look at our game!"
I dont think you have the opponent map setting correct. Map size is a just a suggestion of how many opponents would fit best on that map but its not a hard number your are forced to honor. The custom settings sets the number of empires in the game..so you could have much more than the map size suggested if you have enough empires generated, or exclude a lot of empires for 1 on 3 or whatver. I'm fond of the current tech tree and dont feel at all that they need to turnicate it. Grab
