Adobe is to say the least bloated & sluggish. Nah didn't think that sounded right, foxit doeplace an uninstaller in add/remove & once uninstalled it takes the prog folder with it,don't seem to be any registry enties left either that i can see, makes me wonder what foxit you guys installed
I like the PDF-Xchange viewer by Tracker Software (free).......has an x64 version for Windows 7 and uninstalls thru the control panel.
Yeah lantec that one looks pretty good looks like a web browser & everything, gonna have to try that one out
Foxit isn't as lean as sumatra[e digicons]:P[/e]
Agree with the sumatra option [e digicons]5*[/e] ,don't agree with reinstalling that adobe crap [e digicons][/e] ,as for foxit what's wrong with add/remove mmmm perhaps i did delete the left over folder out of progfiles can't remember, dopdf is supposed to be good if you want to print pdf's out,i have just never used it yet it's lite like sumatra
Ditto with the reformat, one more thing & it's free, macrium reflect it's an imaging program, only point i need to make is you need to create one time images (not to be confused with cloning as that's the whole hard drive including partitions),also it pays to have two copies of an image on seperate hdd's & take the images as you go starting from initial install http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.asp CNET,PCWorld are good places to get free securityware
think it is the best Windows there ever was I have to agree. Starting with the release candidate I've seen 0 BSODs My only complaints..... I prefer the XP Start Menu's "More Programs" ......I can see everything in a glance........... The other issue is with 16 bit app support. I've still got a couple I need to use from time to time. I installed VMLite to run them in XP Mode.
<
Open windowblinds manager, select the original w7 skin at far left hit apply, from this point you can use the windowblind manager to delete any skins (note:this will not delete any original microsoft themes supplied with w7)
Quote narbytrout: my best guess is that we got our downloads from different addresses My apologies i didn't think that you got a hacked version
Narby you do realise circle dock is listed at downloads.com & if that ain't enough i installed it,what do i find no spyware & lo & behold there it is in add/remove *shock horror* [e digicons]o_O[/e]
Ahh, Archive application? Trying it now... Edit: Ok, where does it put them?
Open impulse then see that white thing below the orb in top left (contains settings & options for impulse),well click on it already, you'll have to find the archive location on your own, that said here's a couple of hints look for words "folders" & "backup" (backup is archive)
Doesn't matter what anyone thinks you've already made up your mind if the last few words are anything to go by & since you've had both you'd know the pro's & cons so just do it already [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Yes IE7 Pro is free i don't use it's ad block however the flash block works brilliant, the software works in IE8 also tho the last time i tried it with it there were a few bugs that needed working on,but for IE7 alls good
Play with the diffrent zoomers to find the one that gets you the most transparency or use settings to set to no zoom effect & auto hide, can't get more boring or simpler than that [e digicons]XD[/e]
I'm a bit miffed that we'd have to pay 10 bucks to upgrade to v2.0. OD+ has been around for eons and the product page makes no mention of how far your future upgrades can go. So if a new customer tried out ObjectDock, pays for + features, and then v2.0 is released many many months later. Then you charge $10 for people who want to upgrade? Yes, there are things like a lifetime license (aka pay-once) and some are marketed
If that's the best drive image can do then dump it for acronis or ghost or there's always macrium reflect which is free, there should be no need to have to use a particular size partition when imaging to another drive as it can be set to proportional or reduce or increase the about to be new clone that includes using all the drive, you can if need be clone or image to a smaller drive so long as the data does'nt exceed the drives capacity, personally i prefer images as my storage vessels
Makes me wonder why there's no database of used user names, you know like when you register at a website
macrium reflect is free for personal use, supports w7 as well http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.asp Features for free edition Windows XP and Vista compatiblity
I believe you could benefit from the peeps at caedes if you want to get into computer generated images http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Gallery&gallery=computer
ID! i'm happy for you,i'm happy that you think that 1tb is enough [e digicons];P[/e]
If you decide you don't want to renew subs for a bit be sure to archive the apps before it ends otherwise you won't have anything to restore, impulse only shows the latest it doesn't list your subs cut off point or any apps you were entitled to before subs end, that also means you need to use a method to store them externally from the comp in case of failure,it will save a hassle of starting a support ticket to retrieve stuff... [e digicons][/e]
W7 is the OS
W7 IS THE os
Reply #12 kitkin... What'll happen with Object Dock Plus? I know it's not part of the package, but will Impulse Dock be replacing it eventually?
I obviously can't speak for wincustomize, however to answer your question..100% positive the answer will be no
You are correct windowblinds is not my colors & nor should it be,sometimes a wallpaper maybe included the reason for that is the skinners frequently get asked for said wallpaper. The windowblind preview window before applying any particular blind shows exactly what is about to be applied, there are no icons, widgets or docks etc. Objectdesktop apart from dx themes & theme manager allows one to mix n match to suit your own tastes with skins & icons from the skin galle
On another forum a fella has installed win 7 on a what was a vista laptop with 8800gt graph card, taking wb out of the equation yours is a very similar issue, uninstalling the graph driver may prove useful as he did that & it ran fine, well keep it in mind anyway just in case]
