I neeeeed Elemental, Frogboy! I'm refreshing constantly hoping to see it is out. :P
Mithris
I believe multiplayer will be enabled for the next beta, so you could play against (or with) another human.
Hrm, ok. I'll find something else for a couple of weeks. Eagerly awaiting the arrival :)
I've been checking impulse every day non stop for the last week hoping to see Update Available next to elemental. Has there been any indication/information released on the eta on beta 2? I keep seeing dev journals and posts referring to beta2, but I must have missed when it was supposedly arriving. Can someone fill me in? If there hasn't been an eta given, could you let me know as well? Thanks!
I know this game is not technically the sucessor to Master of Magic, but there is a lot from that game that I believe Elemental could draw on to make it much more lasting and fun, so here is a list of everything from MoM that I still find enchanting to this day. Races: I know Elemental's races are all man and separated by kingdoms/empire leadership, but I still feel there is plenty of room for non-human races in this game. Sure, you can recruit fantastic creatures and su
Looks like the problem may be with caravans and roads. I played two more games and each one did the exact same thing once I built a road network between my cities.
Ah... it seems that my "next turn" button is disabled for some reason. What would cause this? Picture Everything was fine until I started training an army. Also, why are there 11 damage swords available for beginning units that cost no resources? The name of the sword was 'Life Sap'.
I've just installed the latest version of Elemental BETA (1Z I believe), and I'm having a few issues. First, my game seems to randomly crash to the desktop again and again, but this has been an issue that has been going on for many patch iterations. I have not yet noticed a pattern, and I get no message when I CTD. I am running the game at highest settings, so that may be too much for the BETA. I'm running: Windows 7 x64 Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6700
I've seen this, too.
Hi all. I've been watching this game for a very long time. I'm one of those that has desperately hoped for a MoM2 type of game to emerge. Today I saw the email that the beta was released and jump right in. I love what I saw and I think this game will be amazing once complete. I knew that there wasn't going to be much to do yet, so I took that into consideration when compiling my list of suggestions/issues. Cities: - Need a way to remov
How do I leave this MV empire I've been in since the first day this game came out? XD
I lost all of my custom designs a while ago for some reason, and I never had the drive to re-create them. I had some great mythical creature/insectoid ones for my Thalan games. Is there any way to download other peoples designs or what? I've been away from the game for a while.
I'm using my account information that worked for galciv2, and this forum, but it says invalid username/password? I've tried both my username and my email addy. What's going on here? I havent been able to play in over a week (since I bought)...
It seems to be a problem trying to connect to the secure server...?
Like I said I've tried about every day since I heard it was available. I've tried the stardock central link ( http://totalgaming.stardock.com/store/index.aspx?page=confirm&ID=GC2DA&PRODUCT_ID=ESD-SDS-W223 ) and the one on the galciv 2 site ( https://store.stardock.com/addproduct.asp?PRODUCT_ID=ESD-SDS-W223 )
I've been trying to preorder ever since it's been possible, but everytime i click the link I run into a "problem loading page" page. Any ideas? The connection was reset The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading
That sounds great! I am excited to hear about the retroactive scoring too:) I was going to mention that on the forum, but figured it'd be a pain to implement. One suggestions while you're looking at the metaverse though. Is there any way you can display the universes settings? IE Races, starting relationships (im always unknown but you could be cheap and ally half the races till you were ready to kill them), size, density, research rate, etc... <br/
I'd be happy to post some of "suicidial" save games if you'd like. The AI just gets plain idiotic at that level at the end game. They spawn millions of tiny/small fighters with outdated equipment and bankrupt themselves. I usually have to play the diplomacy game and get my enemies to war. I will say the AI in the new beta totally dominates me even on crippling or so Thank god. I was a bit annoyed ho
IMO you can cheese games on suicidal/gigantic after as few as 11-12 years. All my games could have scored much higher if I drug them out to 17 like many people do:P Anyway, great to hear that you're changing the scoring alogorithm!
Not quite sure if this a bug or not, but the "randomize intelligence" doesn't seem to work correctly. I kept getting owned on my normal difficulty level (maso +) so I slid it down to reorganize my strategies on less than insane AI. he Ai in my new game was randomize at painful. I had 8 enemy AI. The AI in this game was just as bad as before, but I couldn't figure out why until I invested enough in espionage to see their intelligence levels. Of the remaining races in
Torians seemed to be overpowered in 1.1. Every game I've played (and lost--ugh, the AI is brutal now:P), the Torians cover the map in no time.
to #32 Last game I attempted playing last night had me surrounded by the Torians and Drengins. My game looked exactly like yours. The Torians had colony ships everywhere, huge influence (which is deadly with the new faster colony flipping), and were insanely powerful to boot. Not sure how to go about fixing this problem...
I don't know about you guys, but I try to place a farm on every single 10+ size planet. It has nothing to do with profit maximization, but having a population of around 13B/planet is a great way to ward off invasions. I can not afford to defend every planet with a decent fleet and so invasions do happen. Large populations are a great way to thwart them:) But keeping on topic, I entirely agree with the OP. I see no reason to base tax rates on a sq rt formula.
Wow! The Ai just smoked me That's quite a welcome change. Every single AI was hostile to me because I didn't have an army. Their transports came out of nowhere and crushed my planets defenses with ease. Hrm, maybe I'll lower my difficulty level for a while <b
to #14 Some 'bugs' are minor issues that are often overlooked. Why would they need my debug log for the sensors issue? This is a universal problem. I haven't checeked if it is cosmetic only (yet) however.
