Ok Windows8 is great its finally something different and i do enjoy it alot. While i was playing with live-apps and the (Metro-interface) i soon began to notice that there is no "ONTOP" function anywhere- meaning that if you have 2 monitors and click from the Start menu ( metro ) on the other screen Start/metro will close. I think this is a major flaw there should be a "keep on top" function so that you could have all your live apps running to keep track of what is happening without

I don´t hold myself back while i browse in forums or the www. i know that you have to see your actions as contract ( every little step you make and every click can be fatal im aware of that after about 17years... But holding myself back not speaking freely is just another step towards a controled system in this case a controled wwweb it never ment to be this way but certain people try to make it that way... But i guess there are enough smart people out there that wont support

They get you TWICE.[/quote] very true--- meanwhile office pc´s come along with a standart of 600w PSU´s here not the 600+ but the sharkoon psu´s of the old generation... &nbs

The integrtated HD2000 GPU is a nice addon if you want to make a nice low noise office pc- if you dont play that much games its good enough to make you happy - However if you want to play current videogames with frostbite engine for example on high end settings the chip will not be enough. To give you an example HD3000 can run Skyrim not modificated on high detail just fine i think the HD2000 will do the same on medium settings Its by far not true

true but there are equal products that do the same thing and more ( androids that are more opened than the ipad for a lesser price available ) But still ipads are the most faved... i know its a solid device all im trying to point out is that there are alternatives and that it is the hype that pushed ipads more than the functionallity/ability of the pad but thats how i feel others may feel diffrent about it. I like macbooks but im not into ithings that much in fact i admit there is

mhh never thought of that good point... all i was trying to say is that i see the potential but i dont mean that it would replace a desktop pc on a daily basis but that the power of the surface pro would be up for the task ( in some cases). I dont know if the touch screen would be still active if you would use the keyboard touch cover on it and add a mouse ( would be interesting to know ) but as you said the screen would be still very small. If i would be a student still i would truly th

if you put yourself into the shoe of a developer would you start to upgrade your programs based on an rtm version ? I know i would not considering that there could be upgrades already for the launch day and there was... would be a waste of time - Avira antivirus isnt even compatible with win8 yet neither is Lavasoft Adaware they did the same thing they waited for the launch day...i think Stardock does the right thing not to throw out beta software that will not work it would give t

yeah its not compareable to a desktop pc but companys already use them like a furniture company here that i know. They use ipads just to show their catalogs to customers so they dont have to print pages of the products all over again. I could see them using a surface : The salesman could show the product in various colors that are available - make measurements without walking back to desktop pc - placing the order via the pad and send the order over to the accountant that finishes

i think the features that are missing are a reason for the low price - a OS for 39USD-19USD if you make an upgrade from XP that is more than a sexy deal especially if you are a systembuilder that owns xp only Windows media center is missing currently - but if you downloaded the pro version you are able to download it for free ( if you need it ) By far there is some better alternatives for you to use out there. i got it last evening from the media store... installed it overnight... no problems during any installation process ( left the on off charge drivers from gigabyte out ) The only problem i have is that skype the new one for windows 8 that runs in the metro interface does not allow you to logout- i dont like that so i got the old desktop one. for that amount of money definitely a good deal.

I dont know why people would grab the surface RT, it is only 3 months till release for surface with windows pro its only 3 month to wait... Its like buying an ipad to use it as digital photostand ... well at least the surface RT is better and more usefull than any ipad But if you seriously want to use one for deisgn then wait for the w8 pro version Like i still wait for my windows 8 pro systembuilder version

The Metro interface, even with Start8, still causes problems on my dual monitor system. I hope microsoft allows you to turn the metro crap off. Also Windows 8 lacks native DVD support, which is no big deal since there are better free and commericial software DVD
