It's not part of object desktop, it's a free standalone program https://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/ I don't use it, but it seems fairly popular

Bump... He has copperdeck2 back up and added pix os among others! orion and toon are there as well
Anyone remember this guy? http://my.opera.com/customize/skins/index.pl?author=433 He is using pix OS, Orion and Toon Icons among others. I dled some of the files and I can't seem to find a permissions text in any of them... Though he is giving credit in the descriptions, so that must make it OK! (sarcasm)
I sent the pixtudio ripper some thoughts, he's been there for a while though, hasn't he? >
Yeah, I'm not saying remove any, just add to the list, more options, not different
I for one would take the categories a little more seriously when uploading if there were some color options, that's why I mentioned it. My last skin fits under computers, misc, psuedo OS, general, shell themes, etc. Probably every category except food and religion. Hoowever, it would fit best under a dark skin category. I think a couple of new additions by color would really help when people are searching
Ah, your right, I got them confused thanks for correcting me!
Hmmm... sry, I haven't ever seen that problem. You might want to check out the stardock newsgroups.
We presently have several categories for our skins when we upload them: computers, OS, etc. Would it be possible to add a few categories? ex: dark skins, white skins, grey/blue skins, etc? Just an idea, but I would find these examples much more useful than some that are already in place when searching the site.
2. sorry forgot to mention you should be in skin studio, in the windows borders section, there will be an attribute called "screen edge clip" for each image (Top, Bottom etc) set that to zero to get it right. 4. Check the 3rd image state, that might be the separator, I know it's one of them 5. It should be one of the image states, your on the right track. IN skin studio, if you have
Well, I don't use or change skins for those apps very much, so I coudn't really tell ya! You will find high quality submissions for those apps here, but probably a lower number of skins as you might elsewhere I'd suggest you take a look around, you'll know better than I if ya like it here or not
This is hands down the best place for stardock products, you will find more in depth libraries of walls and media players elsewhere, quantity-wise at least. Quality is always a matter of opinion
I hope I'm not the "Jaded fan" you're referencing Jafo, because I'm not a fan of metallica at all, and never was, not even in the '80's. I have never bought anything they have done, and also never downloaded anything from them "kazaa style" either. It is impossible to play a heavy style of guitar for 15 years and not be exposed to them though, sadly. I guess you could call me an "Anti-fan" <img src="htt
Garage days is another example of why they have no talent, most of the songs on the album are covers. ex. Last Caress is a Misfits song!! But most people think they acutally wrote it. I don't have a problem with cover albums, but it just shows how average they really are. A large portion of what is considered their best work was done first by other bands, or band members who have since left (Dave Mustaine) or passed away (Cliff Burton). All they did was turn up the guitars and let their singer (
Metallica have been sellouts sice'93 when they released the black album. Before that they were mediocre at best. They have never done anything original and are highly overrated. They built thier name in the eighties by pledging to be "about the music" they were making and against any outward image. Today they are everything they said they never would be and got rich doing it. Just MHO, but there are better bands to listen to, and artists much more worthy of praise and support than those arrogant
Do you have the shareware version? I don't think that skins everything
1. That never works for me either, copy the skin and paste it in another folder, then rename to "whatever.sss" and then move it back, go to tools, create compound skin and add the new one then save. 2. under window borders, there is a "screen edge clip" attribute for top, bottom, left and right images, set that to zero and see if that helps. 3. ? 4. That should be the first state of the menuitem image 5. ? 6. He is probably using YZ's toolbar to replace those icons, WB doesn'
yeah, my last one was originally going to be a true darky, 0,0,0 for all the window backgrounds, I ended up doing 49,49,49 instead so at least the troubled fonts are visible. I'm pretty sure stardock know about this and are working to improve upon it as best they can. Though I think the problem is mostly due to the applications themselves. There was a thread not too long ago asking skinners for input and I think that was discussed heavily there. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smile
To do it in skin studio, go to the windows borders section and adjust the "screen edge clip" attribute. Set it to 0. Do this for each image; top bottom left and right. There is "titlebar text-hide" attribute in titlebar text section the inactive text background is the lower half of the top folder image
I think it's called a "hard coded" font. I do not believe that it can be changed. That is why you don't see too many true dark skins. If you look, most of the darker skins out there are actually using grey window backgrounds. You will always run into some kind of problem like this if you do a true black skin. Too bad, I like the dark themes myself.
NExt Question; what programs besides photoshop can I see toolwindows in?
As far as I know, you can't change the font color in the search panel, I did a dark skin and looked for that extensively. If someone knows differently please correct me.
Thanks for the info guys
I could have sworn I heard this somewhere, but not totally sure. Can anyone tell me if I'm right or wrong and point me towards a skin that has this feature? Thanks in advance.
AH, she is using the animation feature. You can do this in some of the sections. It's still a little beyond me but I have made it work a couple of times.
