"Tile bonuses for moral are not added" Thats a new one for me. I had suspected as much but hadnt confirmed it yet.

Thank you Brad. I look forward to some interface tweaks and my new computer so I can finally see my galaxy textured.
Why dont you just up the difficulty then. Why make a lower difficulty like the one below it if all you had to do was move up? Sir I am getting an ID 10 T error I dont know what it means.
4 of 5. My two biggest compaints are easy to say. 1) I would expect on a GeForce 4 448go that I would be able to at least have some textures on my ship. Instead I get bland colored blobs. Takes all the wind out of my sail when I am designing ships. I just throw on guns and sensors and save it. It is hard to get creative with something so ugly. Also I had to turn down antialiasing to play the game but I couldnt find a way to do it easily without being in the game without the screen b
you can left click on the map in an empty space and drag it. Much faster than side scrolling. You can also left click on the mini map to instantly go to a spot.
The AI does take more into account than the graph. They will even adapt to your ship design if they see that they can not beat you reliably.
I have been treating morale and approval as synonymous and I havent been disappointed yet. I think that the devs just couldnt decide what they wanted to call it.
I would like to add that focusing on a single weapon (missiles) and two defenses seems to work out really well.
There isnt for now. There is already a huge thread about possible game improvements that includes this. Please read other posts before creating your own. Hopefully Stardock reads the other post and makes the needed changes.
Yes you would need some factories. Also make sure you are funding social projects. Low to No funding equals no building. If you are in debt more than 500bc then funding will drop drastically until you save enough to get above the magic -500bc mark.
You should also be able to see your influence points in the UP rise from building influence star bases also.
The bonus applies to your sector. In GalCiv 1 you could access info on each sector to see how much influence you have there. I think you had to right click on the sector but I dont remember and I havent done it in GalCiv2. Also you should be able to visually see your "borders". They should be resisting the enemy or moving out into open space. The bonus doesnt show up in planet details because they are not affecting the planet. The planets influence bonus is generated by its improvements.
You mean the game discourages destroying the planet. It is costly and painful to destroy your enemies infrastructure and then attempt to build it up. Someday the USA will realize this and we will stop bombing everything in sight and then spending billions to rebuild it.
BlizzardGR, You are supposed to click the scroll wheel and rotate not the middle mouse button. If you click down on your scroll wheel and move the mouse I think you will be satisfied with the rotation.
It is an exploit because then you would be unstoppable. You are gaming the system by having a ship with no guns and all defense. If you were really fighting and you new the enemy had a ship with no weapons and a ton of defense why would you waste any time attacking it. You would take the first chance you got and take out the ships that could do you serious damage and mop up the overly defensed ship at your leisure later. And for the original poster you can not do this now.
The original post covered every issue I am having with the game. All the rest that came after are gameplay preferences and I disagree with them. Like multiple transports invasion. I dont want to be able to do that because then I would and it would make it way to easy to invade a planet. The attacker already gets mad bonuses and I havent lost an invasion yet. Anyway I hope stardock makes every change that curttasker asked for in the original post. I am thankful to curttasker for saving me f
You can not affect a bonus to your planet influence with a starbase. That is why it doesnt tell you. Influence starbases affect the sector influence no the planet. You could build 9 influence bases right by a planet and not raise the planets influence by 1 point. The planets influence is affected by its imporvements and nothing more.
I would like to chime in and say it isnt that big of a deal that you could have really good sensor ship. How is it unbalanced? Most "AWACS" type of planes are fragile and could be shot down easily. Think of it as a moving satellite. Just make sure it doesnt get attacked. It is how the game was intended to run and I hope it doesnt get fixed because I like it. And I would like the AI to recognized this strategy and use it themselves if they think their economy can support a couple of these e
Dude, You CAN view the tech tree full screen. Just go to the bottom left of the research screen and click the more button. The tree will take up your hole screen and you can move through it like the main map. Click and drag.
2. Any station will expand your influence but an influence star base will expand it farther. A military and economy will give you a few parsecs of influence but they are easily countered if you enemy builds an influence base. Influence bases could take over several SECTORS unapposed with the modules installed. 3. The only way I know of to counter that would be to destroy it or get someone else to destroy it. That would obviously take a declaration of war. I dont think your planet
I too would like to know where to get the extra ship components and stuff for those of us who preordered download only. Even if it is not an option tell us. I would be mad but not too mad. Also, I have a decent system and my ships look terrible. There is no texture on them at all. They are just colored polygons. No windows, lights, texture at all. My system seems to be pretty far above the minimum but the ships look terrible. Not like screenshots at all. P4 2.66 512 MB RAM
Why do your ships look so good and mine look so crappy. Mine have no texture at all. Also no windows, lights or anything. There are just smooth blobs in the rough shapes of ships.
I fixed my problem by disabling anti-aliasing. I am upset with the support though. The devs in the chat room quit responding to me after about 5 minutes. My internet connection was still going strong though as I was surfing here and at omegadrivers to try a redownload of the drivers I already had. So, if your screen is stretched and looks all funny but you have new drivers then disabling anti-aliasing might work. I would also like someone from stardock to email me.
Except that inexplicably people stop responding. In the middle of trying to find a solution to my problem all devs stopped responding. My connection is still working though.
I turn the game on and it loads fine but with half the screen missing. The stardock logo on the splash video is on the far right of my screen. There is not a newer driver out there for my video card. I have a laptop, dx9c and the latest omega driver for my vcard because HP stopped supporting this laptop with drivers. Help, I can run much more graphic intensive games on this laptop that require dx9c without a problem. Debug Message: Version v1.0 Digital: Bonus Pack last updated on
