I live on the west coast of the US. That means that at noon my time I can start the download and go to class. When I come home voila!!!! I called in sick to work because I really am sick. Of course not too sick to play GC2. I will have all day to play. After about 4-5 hours though I will have to stop to do some homework for tomorrow morning.
brigiton
There is no damn multiplayer. Get over it.
BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!! I mean now!!!!!!!!!
The tech tree is the same for every game. Your path down it will most likely be different every time though. And you will most certainly never make it to the end unless you are solely focused on the tech victory.
As you research techonology for starbases you can add weapon and defense modules to them. They will of course use whatever modules you build on them. It is better to have some ships close by to help if possible because a starbase could be overwhelmed by a fleet.
Why would I want to buy another disappointing half finished StarWars game. The last one I bought was it for me(KOTOR 2). The last StarWars game that was finished and fun was KOTOR 1 and that was only because BioWare wouldnt be bullied into releasing it early and ruining their stellar reputation. KOTOR 2 wasted an excellent bad guy and many story lines werent finished. Every other StarWars game since including FPS's were lame except Republic Commando which was kind of fund. I hate Lucas Arts
This sounds like some lame micromanagement. I wouldnt want to deal with that garbage. Any ship you could potentially take over would probably be way behind you in technology or you wouldnt be able to take it. All it would be good for is salvage. Whooopeeee.
It has already been asked and answered in the forum. You should really look around. It was said that yes the starbases do show up in the combat viewer and they are huge.
The manual was only refering to that specific instance if IIRC. There is always the possibility of a zero. The manual may have a mistake too since I dont know what you are refering too (pg #?) Several have already been pointed out. There is never a guarantee in combat. And there is never a guarantee in GalCiv2
You should cancel your play.com order and order it from stardock. You could then download it tomorrow at 1500 EST. Or you could wait for play.com to mail it to you. It will be released tomorrow for N. America and then approximately a week later in Europe. Paradox is handling the release in Europe and I think Asia so if you are there then you need to contact them about availability and release. At least that is what has been stated in other posts. Good Luck
I love how people think that anything they dont understand must be easy to do. That only makes sense right.
mavx21: I think frogboy said that you can still avoid bad events dealing with other races if you had high intelligence.
No one knows where the resources are. Peace Phoenix is right. They know where the planets are but in GC 1 they knew which were good. In GC2 they have no clue. They still have to explore like the humans to find out if they are worth colonizing. If you really want to start with stellar cartography then play as one of the other races or create a custom race and give them the tech stellar cartography to start off with. Everyone knows where the stars are regardless of the stellar cartography te
I would also add to the remark that it is slow. It is much slower than the older version. Not "wait two extra seconds" slower but like "request timed out" slower. At home I have a 384 down pipe but the pages still load slow. At work I have two T1's and it is slow there too.
Ditto for Zoomba. Moo2 had terrible AI and they never used leaders. Stardock would never alter the game so that one side had an advantage over the others. This means recoding the AI to take advantage of leaders intelligently.
I second the request for at least on more.
Fardoche, You should really try reading the other posts. The tactical combat horse is almost beaten as badly as the multiplayer horse. They are actually conducting a poll on tactical combat now. The developer has never had any desire to make the game tactical and good riddance to tactical rubbish. As far as more than one ship per turn, not unless you are building the ship on more than one planet and they get dont on the same turn. I dont remember ever being able to make
You better believe I care. The only PC I have is my laptop. I almost didnt by Civ 4 because of its requirements. You can be assured that your extra work was worth at least my 45 dollars.
Featauril - Dont post if you arent going to vote. If you want to discuss this go to the threads for discussing. You have already posted twice with garbage and no vote. Already voted.
NO you are no longer wasting money when you set your sliders. They removed that. Research and production carry over to the next item if there is excess so that you are not constantly adjusting the sliders. And good riddance to micromanagement.
Still just random ones that come up. Although, Frogboy has expressed a desire to add player proposed elements or the ability for the player to see and influence the proposal ahead of time. I imagine it would be hard to let the AI do the same thing to. He is real big on the AI being equal to the player and he wont add something the AI cant do competently.
It is tied to morale/approval. IF the people are happy with your rule they will vote for you. Much like real life. People will vote for the man they think is taking care of them. I do think that morale should be tied to the tide of war. If you are protecting your people they should love you and if you are losing they should hate you.
I know scoring takes these things into account for sure. Other than that I dont know. Galazy size : Number of opponents : Difficulty Level : Different points for the type of victory you achieve (I think you get most for tech victory and least for military victory) : The number of turns it took you to win :
No Tactical Combat1!1!1!
Todd Hawks is right. The farther you get from the originating planet the more it is worth. When it is almost "home" it is worth nearly nothing. And when it is almost to it's destination it is worth the most.
