Actually, a good analogy could be made between the allocation of the GCIII wheel and the allocation of a portfolio. Just like setting the wheel to 100%, allocating a portfolio to just one asset, would be a bad idea. [quote who="tilyas89" reply="5" id="3598998"] Just to clarify, I'm not trying to start a flame war. Secondly, I feel like it is disingenuous to say that I'm calling expression of opinion selfish. If you have a problem, by all means express it. However, the degree of emotion and volume of these opinions about something that is without a doubt a feature used by a small minority detracts from discussion about features the majority could use. When yo
No one should be considered selfish or a troll for expressing their opinion or wishes. Just because someones view doesn't match yours doesn't make them selfish. The developers can chose to listen or not. Listening to the minority is often not the best way to go, but it can't hurt to consider it. IMHO, fun and engagement should always have priority over realism.
Not trolling, just pointing out what I see as contradictions. I personally don't mind the wheel change. Having worked in a corporate environment for many years, I've become cynical, I've seen the different faces executives use internally and with the public. Sure there is more to life than financial considerations, but in the business world, only one thing matters. Corporations (publicly held or private) exist for one purpose. To maximize shareholder (owner) value. Anything else i
SD isn't one of the components of your portfolio? Well anyway, if the success or failure of GCIII doesn't matter to you financially (or if SD's success or failure is of no consequence to your personal wealth), or if customer opinions don't matter why bother posting or reading the forums? Just tell people "this is how it will be" and then lock the forum. Heck, just have ID do it. No sense it dealing with the whining entitlement masses. No one needs that kind of stress.<
It wasn't an accident. Brad is a strong and vocal supporter of Ayn Rand ideas. [quote who="Xudt" reply="36" id="3598830"] People who work in creative industries accidentally channel Ayn Rand pretty often when they talk about their work. I did see a little bit of Howard Roark when Frogboy made posts defending the decision to remove the wheel. However in the game's ideology feature greed is in the evil section. That isn't very Ayn Rand like

GCIII is worth $23. I say pick it up.
I subscribe to office, so I got it automatically. I agree the color options are awful. The new features don't really interest me much. Starting with 2010,they made the new pivot table the default. I hate it. It's just an over simplified version fore the masses... I'm glad we have the option to switch back to the classic version. Libre and Open office are free..but under powered compared to Excel. No self respecting Finance guy would lower himself to use suc

Slightly OT: I predict within two iterations of Windows, the GUI will have been simplified to the point where there will only be two buttons: SEARCH BUY The reason why MS wants PC's to be like tablets is because tablets are essentially little more than mobile purchase devices.
I like these suggestions.
I would classify the writing as snarky, cynical, mean and juvenile. It was a nice change at first, but it get's stale quickly. Yes, too many Hitler-style mustaches...
I agree with everything said in that article except the last line: "As iOS and Android apps get better and better, and iOS and Android tablets become closer and closer to replacing PCs, Windows will continue to lose relevance." Tablets and phones will never replace PC's. When will the media just accept this? To prove my point, I challenge any of the PC doomsayers to try to build a moderately complex spreadsheet using a tablet or phone..
This sounds a lot like Yu-Gi-Oh to me. Not so different, except the cards are real, not digital.

Also, in order to craft your own items, you have to select the ability to do so in the sovereign's skill tree - which is probably a little different for each sovereign.
