We need to keep in mind that Elemental ties in with the book Destiny's Embers.
That's no excuse for all the "different" races just being humans in rubber suits. There's nowhere's near enough differentiation between them, and too little backstory in the game. I'm enjoying the game anyway, but OP is right when it comes to any sort of fantasy-like feeling.
I made a little list of bugs i found and little things that anoy me ingame 1) Gamebreaker for me is when i cant find a women to marry its even harder to find a good women in elemental then in real life
CTRL + N. :p At least that worked in the beta - not for custom factions though.
Is this new? I was badly out matched and decided to withdraw from a tactical battle. I had a hero unit that found the always-difficult-to-locate exit box (is there something I'm missing that indicates where the exit is? ), but the staff unit and pioneer that were with him were not allowed to enter that square. I don't remember that ever having been the case.
I've seen them in almost every game*. Something I just learned recently: Minor factions have unique items in their stores. So if you're in their territory (which is hard to tell since they don't have borders now) try visiting the shop. Edit: * I should mention that I use Elementerra to produce larger maps with lots of land. Not sure if that is having an effect.
Everything else seems to be going good except ever since we got to v1.09w I have been getting memory crashes again even in 1.1. V1.09v was the first and only version I never got a memory crash in.
This is a result of not allowing enough time for testing of 1.09w. Not sure what the rush was, but I feel like they made some changes to 1.09v and then pushed it out the door.
My first CTD in a while (since 1.09t I think). Fought a battle, got the results screen and the game crashed. Log: http://home.comcast.net/~daly916/debug.rar
Hit F5 one more time. :)
To be safe, you can un-check the "Show pre-release versions" checkbox and then right click on Elemental in Impulse and select "Verify Installation". It will say your version is wrong. Update it like normal and you will get rolled back to 1.09e.
Feel free to tip.
Don't take any plug nickels. :p
[F5] Nope. [F5] Nope. I don't have much going on tonight. :) [F5] Nope.
If we had the beta installed, I take it we'll have to roll back to 1.09e prior to updating? Or reinstall the whole thing to be safe?
v1.1 is expected to be released later today (EST).
Line seven or so of Brad's post. Edit: Beaten by a Sith hot pepper!!
An interesting feature would be to not allow new weapons and armor on heroes to be bought unless you build markets.
That wouldn't seem right. I'm the king and they are my heroes; we shouldn't have to stand in line at a stall to get our equipment. :)

There are very minimal bugs at this point for 1.1..... It's certainly not being 'rushed out the door'...
If it were released in its current state, I would call it rushed. There are bugs that need to be fixed, and n

I saw Kraxis eliminated* by "monsters and ruffians" in a 1.09t game. * Only problem was that while Kraxis and his armies were gone, his city didn't disappear. I had to "declare war" on ghost-Kraxis before I could walk into his empty city.
I love Elementerra!!! Good to hear another version is in the works. :) I swear I posted this suggestion before, but I can't find it... Could you add some way to save the settings used to generate a map? I use close to the same settings every time, and it gets tedious having to tweak everything back to where I want it.
You guys realize that the games does not produce truly "random" maps, right? It just uses a set of seed maps with random placement of resources. That said, I generate all the maps I use with Elementerra . See the sticky in the mod forum. ;)
Not sure if this has been mentioned - can't access the support forum from where I'm at. The weapon rewards for quests need to be re-balanced to match the new scheme. Noticed this with the Twilight Axe and Sword of the Sovereign. Both are worse than the weapons they replace, and extremely weak by the time you acquire them. Also, the "Twilight Axe" is missing its art - doesn't show up at all (in the inventory or in the pics of a hero holding it). The
Newb! :p Hold down the scroll-wheel on your mouse and move the mouse. I think Shift + Arrow keys is supposed to work too, in case you have no scroll-wheel.
I would agree. But what I would rather see would be the dynasty system working as advertised.
All I've seen "advertised" is "Build a dynasty marrying your children off to leaders of other factions to improve your diplomatic standing." It does that. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not saying that's right, but it is working "as advertised". I'd prefer to see the whole dynasty/family thing bu
