Hmm, I have the same card and no problem. Your gfx drivers are fine, but can you post the entire debug.err? Some people were getting wierd glitches from their sound drivers being old.

UPDATE to posts #28 and #212 The only core ships which I can't get to appear in a sandbox game are the: Missile Boat Sniper Star Raider All of the other core ships appear normally when their techs are researched.

Awesome, thanks. Going to go check that right now. If that fixes things, I will go update my report in the Glitch thread. UPDATE: Spent about 2 hours going through over half the tech treeon a sandbox game. I could get most of the core ships to show up except for these three, which are broken somehow still: Missile Boat Sniper Star Raider

There aren't that many pre-built core ships and each one requires a specific set of technologies. What some have been referring to is the missing core ships such as the Sniper and Missile Boat, even when the required technologies have been researched already. I reported this on page one of the Glitch report thread and also an update to it on p

I don't see how reposting your debug info for the third time is going to change anything...? You need to update your drivers as two of them are out of date, and your dual core may need a driver update as well. EDITED: Here's the three links to your drivers: *new nvidia driver at this Link *new sound driver at this <a href="http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download.asp?Product_ID=10702&Produc

Three suggestions: 1. Check out this link . 2. There are new nvidia drivers out today (84.21), try them. 3. Update your sound drivers "Driver Date: 7/27/2004 09:31:34" I will check back later and see if any of those helped. EDIT: New video driver click here .

I don't put any sensors on my tiny or small hulls. I use cargo based sensor ships for all my intelligence gathering. I do add 1-2 life support to them if I need a little extra range. Once you get into medium hulls and the middle game things change drastically and depend alot on the situation at the time. For the early game though I specialize my fleets. Early game navy for me: Fighter: 1 life support, 1 engine, rest into weap

His latest debug shows: "Driver Version: 6.14.0010.6601 Driver Date: 2/22/2006 03:46:46" Those are probably the most recent ones now. Seems there is a problem with his gfx card and running the movies/game in full screen mode and his desired resolution of 1600x1200. "Debug Message: Going Fullscreen Debug Message: Preparing to change display settings. Debug Message: Using multilsample setting: D3DMULTISAMPLE_4_SAMPLES Debug Message: Could not c

Great, hope everything works for you now. Going to go have to see if there are new drivers for my card now. EDIT: There are new nvidia drivers now... Version: 84.21 Release Date: March 17, 2006

Hmm, I see your sound drivers are still old. Unfortunately I don't know enough about the differences between full screen and windowed mode, sorry. Also, you can launch the Stardock Central application and uninstall the movie portion of GalCiv2. There are probably other ways of going about this (possibly using the prefs.ini file) but I don't know enough about

1. Each ships defenses apply only to that ship and the total value defends against each type of weapon attack. 2. Influence starbases should be placed near your borders to push them out. You won't notice much effectiveness out of them until you upgrade them a couple times by sending more constructors to it. 3. After you reach high espionage it is a matter of time until you steal techs, and they aren't too frequent.
