to submit a metaverse game, do i have to actually finish the game all the way to the end, like say, if i want to retire in the middle of the game and submit, will the score for that game count?

I wish the ships actually have a much better firing arcs, as well as some back turrents, it should not have to turn around to face enemeies at the back. So annoying. I like sins for the big battle, but then my machine slows down if it gets too big.

I thnk the really good space combat flight sim that is the modern equivalent to X wing is freespace 1 and 2. I heard independence war 1 and 2 are goog too, never tried it. X3 terran conflict allow you to have mariens to be trained and used to board anc capture ships. The thing is that even though if there is a game that does a perfect simulation of a starship, you don't feel like much in command of a crew because you will still be responsbile for piloting the ship within the game and you don't really have to worry about the engines, med bay, etc. Because your AI crew mate usually takes care of it. Why do you need an alarm clock for Galciv, just set your own alarm clock, and if you need to have an alarm clock within a game, than have better discipline when playing games by learning to keep track of time yourself. I mean Galciv2 is a turn based game, not like C&C or starcraft 2, so between each turns, take a look at your watch or clock to keep track of the time. Don't worry, the Dregin will wait for you to hit the turn button before they do any invading.

Ah..you wrote a very nice review, but there is one thing you forgot to mention, how on earth can people in the NA (north american) and other western countries can get their paws on this game. Better yet, how did you get it in the first place. Did you order it from Amazon Japan/EBAY Japan.
I am playing a game as the Arceans on an immense map. I am playing it on Tough. Well..so far i am holding my own very well. The two dominant races in the game are the Krynn and the Torians. The Krynn are the most powerful follwo by Torians. Well..i started out as really the underdeveloped underdog in all aspects of the game, then the Kyrnn dccleared war on me. At this point, i have the basics of many of the defense weapons tech researched.

I think if EA gets on board with Impulse, some of the known stance concerning stardock towards DRM will need to be tone down, especially Frogboy's opinion on the issue. I share Frogboy's view on DRM, but considering Frogboy's position within Stardock, it does not favorable or compatible with EA's view on DRM usage in their games and hence EA willl interpret that there will be a clash in IP protection philosophy.

make sure you pick an easy race to get into and play on an normal difficulty setting on your first run, so that you get used to the pace and mechanics of the game. Oh a word of advice, to get your economy going, make sure you build a lot of entertainment/morale enhancing centers. Happy citizens will be always be happy to contribute more to taxes.
