Definately notify eBay. I beleive you DO have some protection - they can maybe help get your money back. If you used Paypal I'm sure there is protection furnished. This kind of scam is not just piracy - it is theft plain and simple. At the very least, give the seller bad feedback to let others know what is going on.

Good question - though it seems that in 1.1 the Ai ismuch more efficient managing it's planets than in earlier builds so my hunch would be yes. On Edit: You can probably check this out by going into cheat mode and giving the AI a tech that will upgrade stuff - then switch over play that Ai next turn to see if they have maximized the order.
Re post #7 Yes you keep the effects. Yes you can trade it to multile Civs. No, you can't stop trading it later - you actually gave them the formula, or plans, or whatever so they can build it themselves. (But they don't actually have to build it like you did.) No, trade embargoes don't affect them - it's a one shot trade, just like giving them a tech or a ship.
Bow to the mighty Spemin... BeeBoop "Captain, they just raised their Shields...." Man, you just brought back some memories - that was a GREAT game - definaltely on my top Ten all time. I rememer staying up all night trying to figure out how to get that damn planet from shaking... I know there was a Star Flight2 put out -
Go to the Journals section - Brad posts the change logs there.
You will need to follow the instruction at this MS TechNet page and run the Kernel debugger to find out what driver is causing the 0xC2 BSOD. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314492/EN-US/ Also, looking at your debug log, it shows you have a 4GB page fille - yet you say you have 6 4BG page files on 6 drives? For XP, that is a wee bit of overkill. One 4gb page file should be more than enough. Perhaps the system is getting confused as to which paging file segment it is us
I have seen #3 a lot. Not just in the attack screen but also in the Make peace screen. Sems random, and I agree. The others I am not playing at that level so I can't comment. BTW, The post may not appear right away in the forum - if it does't bump it and it usually will then appear.
Yeah - it's just that in 1.1b pop growth seems much slower than in 1.0x - making the colony rush path a bit more complex to do. And the Ai is much more proficient at using a limited number of worlds than it was - much better optimization now. I can easily grab more planets than the Ai, but now it takes more time to get them up to snuff and if I'm not careful the Ai will jump too far ahead becasue it is now using it's limited resources better.</fon
I could not find it in any of the editable XML files - not saying it is not there just I did not see it. I can't remember, but if you play in cheat mode there may be a switch to give more money.
The post may not appear in the right forum until it is replied too. Maybe some kind of forum bug. Try bumping them if they do not appear after an hour or so.
@ Muninn - debug.err is in the root GalCiv2 game folder. For example, c:\program files\stardock\galciv2 @Scotty - does this happen in Windows mode too? Or just full screen....I had issues with a Via KT-400 Chipset MB/Athlon 2000 combo and overheating a while ago - seems the case design was bad and the Vid card was a hot one. Caused all knds of weird issues - not saying this is your situation but you may want to try something like Spee
@Brad - That is the issue I just ran into with 1.1 - I grabbed 11 new worlds right off the bat ...but boy do they grow slowly! By the time I recovered from the initial rush of buying colony ships at my home world, initial Starports and initial factories on all the new worlds I was constantly running in the red. By the time I recovered the Ai was way ahead militarity and in techs - even though they each only had at most a half dozen worl
I for one can happily wait until 1.2 or even 1.3.... I know it's coming sometime. You all at SD have put your money where your mouths are enough to show that you are the real deal, and deserve patience from us. ... tah dah tah dah tah dah ..... Release the hounds! (well, 1.1 anyway lol)
He did that on purpose to make the point that the scoring system is broken. He has posted about why he did it in other threads here.
Caint do it. Only way to 'slag' the planet is to use one of the more messy invasion plans that wipes things out...take over the planet, demolish all the buildings, load all of your troops back onto a transport except for one...and destroy the colony.
Try looking in the Strategy subforums here - I read some good stuff. (You cna pull them up using the pull down window at the bottom of the main forum screen - they do not show up as Forum tabs unfortunately). I am right now trying out the 'spam colony ships at the start to get as many planets as I can' strategy - but I have found that in ver 1.1 b2 the Ai is much better at working with smaller amounts of planets and is really ahead of me militarilty and technologically. One MT food feeds 1 billion people. If you have 20 billion people, you will need to have enough farms to produce 20MT of food. Unhappiness will cap at 27 Billion or so - after that no mater how many more folks you add the unhappiness rate will not go up. The more folks you have up until that point, the unhappier they tend to be. It generally takes me 1 Morale boosting building for every two farms ( at the same level - i.e. higher tech entertainment buildings at the same t
Happiness, approval, morale, they are all the same thing. This is for buildings that affect how your citizens think about you, such as Entertainment Centers etc. It does get a bit confusing at first with the different terminologies used; but you'll soon get the hang!
Next time it happens write down and post the complete error code you see on the BSOD. i.e. 0 x 0000001e (forum is taking out the first 6 zeros' before the 1e - looks like 0 x .0.0.0.0.0.0.1e without the dots) or whatever. That will help track it down to see where the issue is.
I don't think that is possible in the current Shipbuilder. You can use cheat mode, use ctrl-shift-r to research all the techs, and see all the ships for one race in the shipbuilder, than switch to another race and research all the techs again; repeat for every race; but you wil not see all the different types together in the same shipyard.
You need to download the beta through Stardock Central.
Greratest thing is that hopefully this means the modding psths will now work (fingers crossed) - i.e. you can make use of the modding folders so it will be way easier to keep track of things.
Nvidia 5200 family can be touchy beasts - they generally work well but I have seen them have issues with 3d Graphics in some apps. Especially if they are running a driver set that is not up to par. (Your Bios is very old too - might want to check with your MB maker to see if there are any updates out there for it too, though that may be problematic...that may be the last for that MB, hard to tell; a lot of times there are never any bios up
It's an alternative main UI! Yeah Baby, Bizzaro GalCiv!!!
I think there is a bug where a post will not appear in the forum until it has been responded too. Otherwise it just stays on the front page and gets pushed down until it is out of sight and out of mind. Others have commented on this.
