I don't see any possibility of a tie.
you're right but for me this is just a question of semantics I called it a "tie" because that's how the thing is called in galciv2 when both ships have the firepower & timing necessary to destroy each other into oblivion on the same round

I still do find it rather hard to believe my video card is overheating in some way, seeing how this game isn't really even taxing to my system. I am also rather reluctant to go and spend $150 I don't have to go and get a new one.
and that's fine, you shouldn't spend anything until you get some hard evidence that the problem lies there. <

I'm not suggesting jury-rigged fixes at the time being, just trying to help you pinpoint the problem -what about your throttle checkbox ? as stardock said it was made for overheats and shouldn't reduce performance... also if we're true about the overheating problem a way to see this is to use a piece of software like rivatuner to simply force the fan to about 80-100% then use the hardware monitoring and make it to record a log file... this is just a suggestion of course, and r

you should post a debug.err from the one computer that has the problem ... or else it's misleading ... (unless I misunderstood something)

It seems like the game didn't like the ALT-Tab at all If you got applications running in the background which could make an overlay appear to notify you of something in the middle of a game, I would shut them off just to be sure (but that's just me...) When I had my Radeon 9700 pro & 1GB memory the game couldn't really handle alt-tabbing, now with my most recent computer it works, unless I alt-tab too often (like around 12 times) which makes the game crash if you l
