That was actually really helpful, and I missed it on my first skim of the thread. I saw everyone posting about "buy a Stardock product," and all I could think was, "Um...I've got about 40 of them..." New computer, and I hadn't ever logged into the site from it yet. I do have to say that it took me a wh

When I have played, I haven't been able to complete a game yet because of the CTD, lockups and save is

I'm having the same issue...I also highly doubt someone picked "weidbrewer." (Which is why I sent an email to support.) I'm wondering if it counts the account I created on GalCiv2.com as the first and the stardock.com/Impulse one as a second. I can't remember the specifics, but I think that I may have had to set up a separate account for Impulse. I don't remember at this point.

Admittedly, this has been a long week and I might be missing something obvious - where's the DL option for this in Impulse? My serial is registered and listed in my records, but I can't seem to find an install option for it. {EDIT} Never mind...I didn't have have "Show Pre-Release" checked. Like I said, long week.
One year of updates is more than most games get these days. If there are players I'd expect more updates.
Wasn't complaining, just hadn't heard anything official to that effect before then. (The "only" was more in regards to the fact that I'd never heard an end date from Stardock. Y'all spoil us.)
2. Depends on sales. Liekly there would be micro-expansions a la Sins. They already have 2 more Demigods that they plan to give out free in a short time and 1 year of free updates.w
Only one year of updates? Demigod is on a subscription basis? Huh. I had not heard that.

I think I've pre-ordered every official Stardock release in recent memory...and I'm still caught off-guard every time we get to release and there's a "Collector's Edition" available. I'll learn one of these days. [e digicons][/e] So yeah...do those of us who pre-ordered as early as we could get the extra stuff?
but I wonder if Demigod uses multiple cores (SupCom didn't)
Yeah...that was one thing I was going to mention. I've enjoyed every Gas Powered Games release I've played, but sound always seems to be an issue. This and the SupCom games are the only ones I've run on my machine that have sound issues. For me, I get sounds that are all out of whack in the opening video (can't hear the narrator for example) and I get all kinds of crackling an
We're going to be announcing this later today but there has been progress on The gamer's bill of rights.
Read through that - some very, very informative stuff in there. I have to say, that your self-described "transperancy" is one of the things that I have liked most about Stardock. I appreciate a no BS approach to business. One point that i'd like to second: Improved documentation. I'm a documentation nut, what can I say.</p

*Rushes in panting, out of breath* As per usual, I am late to the party. [e digicons][/e] Everytime SD does a Beta release, there is at least one thread like this. I think that some of us ("Us" being both the customer base and the SD staff) take for granted that we know how this works after a few times through the dance. For any one that's been around a little while, we plunk down our cash ahead of time, not to res
better still, have a race; time how long it takes to scroll across a huge map, and compare that to the time it takes to zoom there.
Only if that race is followed by a contest of being zoomed in on a dogfight and needing to move the screen a half an inch while keeping track of all the bad guys in the melee.
Check out the CivFanatics forum... lots of people talking about CivIV: Colonization there.
Yep...and a lot of them are saying exactly what I discovered after playing the part of the weekend - It's not that great.
