I've been playing Erebus almost exclusively for the last few days (he's my favorite demigod). In most games I've played Oak was usualy a free kill, and I was thinking this demigod is not very good. Last night I played against the best Oak player I have ever seen. Game ended with both of us at 12 we were both the highest level demigods on our team but he was a beast. I had killed him once, he had killed me 1. Overall he was a very strong player a
Yea, actually, the main problem there was the fact that assassins are less competent in 'killing' generals, than the generals actually were. That the generals obliterate us when ganking together or with all their minions, no problems. That the generals obliterate us 1 on 1, without any significant minion, at same level, with roughly the same items (we were same levels at the moment), no. And it's not a pure question
Not enough details. Where they higher level than you? Did they pick better gear than you? Could they just be better players than you? Was there an item you could have purchased that would have helped? While you're assertion that it's a balance issue could be correct, please provide numbers, replay, screen shots or proof some some sort. Crying "imbalance, because I said so" has little effect. -Jara
Oh dear god yes. Yesterday I was playing regulus, no matter what I did (I had highest levels of mark of the betrayer and shrapnel mines) I could not get away, even with my heart of life. I even had the anklet of speed and boots of speed, i never EVER got away, no matter how much I slowed him down. Cooldowns need to be increased by like 5-10 seconds on at least bite.
Should have got the boots that if you get hit give you a 50%
I guess TB just cannot go against Lord Erebus.. Any other suggestions from the board?
As a Erebus player... I can't just stand in your fire unless there is a huge level disparity. If you're playing TB and you're playing against a good Erebus you need to be FASTER than him (and keep your distance). Take the favor +15% movement speed, get the boots for another +10% speed. Eventually get the wand that gives you 50
Patched the game last night, after having played some matches offline/online and bought some of the favor items, I think all but 1 were bought offline. After the patch I went back online and im sitting at -680 points, with only the 1 item that I had bought while playing online. Any particular reason for this? Cause now I have to gain a bunch of favor points just to get out of the hole, and then even more to get back what I lost.
W
This game is not DotA, if you want DotA go play DotA. I think (and I know many others agree with me) that the current game speed is perfect. You're welcome to disagree of course. More options are always good and I do agree with you fast is too fast. It would be nice to have an option inbetween, not that I'd use it.... but it sounds like you would. More Demigod will be added over time, until then enjoy the ones we have! <li
Quoting Hobbes2099, reply 4For $4,095 and only 8 minions at your disposal that can be easily killed by a lvl3 or lvl4 spell, i don't see how "broken" the game can be. It's a good strategy for early game, but a lvl15 DG will swat at them like flies and like flies they'll fall off the map. That number's exaggerated. For all 24 minions, the exact number is 3360 gold.
Hum, if that is the
playing DG very intensive for 1 week now and sadly i already lost interest here are just some points: - game feals and is slow ! just fire the designer who proposed that making all heros move like snails will be fun - games can take forever! balanced teams can fight for hours with noone winning (had it several times) - 8 heros ! how u wanna compete with dota with 8 heros omg... it took me 3 month to pl
Yes it would be nice to hear from GPG or Stardock on whither they consider this a bug or not. I've yet to fight against this but, it's not a cheap thing to do.... Please note that the costs listed below are just numbers I've made up off the top of my head, I'm at work and I don't recall what the actual archer idols cost. Siege Archer Idol's ~550 for level I, 1050 for level II, ~1550 leve
How many times do I need to say this to get the point across? You bought the wrong game if you wanted to go online and play with other people by yourself. Competitive strategy games are not and never will be about people just thrown together and told to go. I'm not sure how you can even support a ladder with random teams. There cannot be any support for it other than just that. The whole point of a ladder is the ladder season which theoretically
We've all talked about wanting to be able to form up a team and then play that team against strangers. I'd want to make sure that the suggestion is not for persistent teams. Teams should be easily formed from your friends or people you've previously played (Please see DoWII). Then you go in and play. Your team should be able to be changed from night to night or even hour to hour. Free form! The more flexibility you give people here, the better!!!!
Played a game last night Vs the best Oak player I've ever encountered. Level wise game ended with both of us at level 12. After this game, I really felt like Erebus is fine as is, and does not need a nerf! Seriously after that game I walked away thinking Erebus was not overpowered at the slightlest. I'm begining to think that it might be an issue were Vs unskilled players Erebus feels very strong, but Vs other strong/skilled players he's actually pr
Adding join as a team should be done to both Skirmish and Pantheon games... BUT, when it's done they also need to make sure to improve the match making system. It should when possible match pre-made teams with other pre-made teams. Because the OP is right in the fact that a premade team will stomp a PUG team. You don't want to ruin the fun for a PUG player who just wants to jump into a game.
There are 3 separate pools for Favor. Single Player Multiplayer LAN Multiplayer Custom/Skirmish/Pantheon (Internet). There is also a [BUG] with Multiplayer Custom/Skirmish/Pantheon in which items you've purchased will be lost and favor you've gained will go missing along with the ability to go negative in favor. None of those things are suppose to happen, but [e digicons
Most games I only run with Bite I, late game 15+ I'll upgrade to Bite II and maybe Bite III. My build is very minion heavy and I kill people all the time. Bite is not the only issue, I personally think it's his health regen in combination with his bite. Of course I'm still not 100% sure he needs any nerfing and that more test cases and playtesting needs to happen... Well played Regulus and TB are a threat (Usually faster due to items and have longer
In beta, I found you HAD to use mist form because Erebus was so weak otherwise he would die in most fights toe to toe. Mist form let him prolong/hide. It now costs more mana to do, so it's harder to use it as a way to prolong a fight. It can still be a good way to avoid a fight. I don't remember what max level mist was... but I know the weak one did 25. Anyway I think the key to mist form is not just the AOE damage + immunity, but that it also heals your minions/
Erebus Change debuff time on Bite to 2/2/2/3 seconds(from3). Change to 300/500/700/800 life steal. Really, you should be able to do it by moving and continue to attack otherwise. Right now there is sort of a delay thing after it.. I don't know really. I think a lot think bite needs to be nerfed more, but it's not like erebus was that great with the 650dmg bite. People are thinking it's overpowered now mostly be
Are you sure that potions work in the middle of a fight? Don't you have to stop what you are doing and stand there for a second or two for a potion to work? Well, that didn't happen in this fight. We just stood there and traded blows. Yes. Yes it does. Has a cast time like anything else. Anyways, he might of been juking or something? Or your hammer didn't hit directly. Hamme
Knowing when to run, is a skill Agent of Kharma (you should try it). I shouldn't have had to run. I had equal hit points to him, had all armor upgrades possible to buy at the start, had hammer slam, landed the first blow, and landed more hammer slams. If you say I still should have "known when to run," then you are simply defending unfairness and an unequal playing field. Since that is not a defensible position,
IMO the only diffrence is that Generals can have minions. If you want to be a good general it will require more micro than an Assassin. I think overall Generals offer a little bit deeper game play but at the cost of being more complicated -- examples: A general can go and stand at a flag, while his minions go attack a near by tower. A general can flee, why his minions attack his would be attacker. A general has the option ot pu
RainFall, I couldn't agree with you more. I finally learned in a mirror match against a Rook how devastating it can be when some other a-hole has a powerful favor item and you don't have dick. In this match I equipped the two armors I could equip at the game start, picked hammer slam, and ran out to my first flag. I met the enemy Rook there (10 seconds into the game). I moused over his hit points - they were identical
Lord Erebus and Oak are easy mode, they are better than all of the assassins and they get followers which are useful, not to mention the general glitch for healer blobs. i dont have an idea how to fix them, but there skilless W+M1ness is horrifying and i will just kick players who decide to play them. Please fix your mechanics .
Where is your evidence that they're over powered? How many test cases (games played wh
By your team having less demigods, you have less potental kills to give away, because they have more you can turn it to your advantage. 2 Vs 4 is fine IMO if the 2 are much better players.
