I think the gold icon is miss placed and really it should be a "favor" icon as it's just listing the cost in favor. It's very very confusing that they use a gold icon IMO, and it should be changed to a Favor Icon. (Unless it's supp
There is a file in mydocuments which stores the information. Try backing it up, as it is the file that stores the achievements/favour.
That pool is only for multiplayer LAN games. It does not effect online Skirmish, Pantheon or Custom games. So once you get negative you're pretty much screwed. The one thing you can do is go and play custom games: Play against a single easy computer.
I play Oak alot. His shield plus the telportation favor item makes it easy to avoid getting killed by regulus. I dont try and tackle enemy demigods at the early levels anyway, and from what ive seen if you dont give up any kills to regulus early game he falls behind. Basically early game just kill creeps and avoid regulus, he isnt great at stand up fights so take flags kill creeps and just take a few steps back when he wants to play with you.
To give you a foil... Early game Regulas was playing good. But between the mistakes that the Rook made along with some mistakes Reg made the tide turned very very quickly. Once you get on a roll as I did both out leveling and out gearing the opponnets it was hard for them to come back.
Yup, I'm dealing with -715 or something like that. Not only that, but all my items I've previously purchased but one.... GONE!!! So the only item I have to choose from is the 800 life 5per second recover. Which granted is at least a good item, but I cant express how fustrating it is to not only lose items you've previoulsy purchased but then to be in a huge NEGATIVE balance. This really... really should have been fixed before being allowed to ship, imo.
With all the problems trying to get a game started and the general slowness in one starting, anywhere from 10-30minutes to get a game to start with all the connection issues and game freezing on the open games list, it seems balance is really taking a spot way down low on the list. I've played all but Sedna so far of the Demigods. Beaten SP on Hard w/ Oak. I play Oak in Pantheon but switch up in Custom games. The easiest demigods so far have

Mine, is that this game is really really fun, it's not perfect it has some issues -- the biggest of which was the connectivity problems which is getting better.
Can always download the game any time you ever need to. Can go to a friends house, not have to carry a CD. Don't ever have to worry about losing the CD, or getting a scratch on it. Digial download IMO is the way of the future.
I deffintely agree with number 8...it's almost impossible to use the rook effectively in the larger maps without wasting gold on teleportation scrolls.
I disagree with point 8, buy teleport scrolls! That's just part of playing the Rook IMO. Teleport scrolls are cheap! $250 and when I play the Rook I make sure I alway have 1 or maybe two. I think the key to the Rook is to attak a location and keep at it.
As long as you can choose. For me I'd rather the way it is and just see my team Vs enemy. Then again, I'm also color blind a bit so that small of icons and subtle colors will be lost on me anyway. -Jara
This shouldn't be, but the few games that I've played all lasted for more than 30 minutes. Mostly, they are 40 minutes to 1 hour. The developers said they want games to essentially not last longer than 30 minutes. Does anyone else experience these long game times? Does anyone else have a problem with them? Does anyone have any proposed solutions?
I currently think the game times are perfect !
I'm able to play skirmish games now with out a problem I'd say 70-80% of the time. But In the course of about 5 games I've got TWO NAT errors. First one, let me play for about another 5 mins and then the game crashed to desktop. 2nd NAT error came up, but I was able to finish the game before it crashed. UPDATE Just tried to play a Pantheon game (first since retal). The conn

IMO Creeps are suppose to be weak, it's part of what makes you feel powerful. Even so, depending on which demigod you are if you're by yourself fighting both towers and creeps, it is hard and typically it will force you to retreat. If you've upgraded your creeps, that costs a ton of cash. If thats how you've spent your gold they creeps SHOULD be better than the towers -- unless of course you've spent a ton of cash upgrading your defences. Early game to me is just k
I've played a couple of 4/4 and 5/5 games time to join the game has much improved to something like 1 min maybe, about as long as it takes to join a DoW2 game (sometimes quicker). I've never had a lag issue in a game, I have had a bit of stuttering where the whole game will freeze for like 10 seconds and it makes me think a crash is going to happen but the game so far has always recovered. This also does not happen that often. A problem I am seeing is NAT faciltaion erro
Yes arranged teams are totally nessary, In fact I think that's the number one reason why so many people are playing custom right now because they want to play with thier friends against another team (and that's the only way to do it). Granted once arranged teams come to skirmish you'll have other issues like: The invidviduals joining Skirmish having to fight against arranged teams. Basicly 1-5 people who don't know each other and have never played together Vs
Demigod normal game speed is actually in my opinion bit to slow for challenging gameplay, everything moves chunky and its very very easy to avoid enemy threat like rook hammer slam or aoe dmg of any sort. I think the best comparison here is multiplayer speed from war2, war3 or even starcraft competitive online play and why not lets even put dota-the first idea. Not to say that normal game speed should be taken out but for online ladders and competitive
I honestly think one of the biggest problems is... player skill and death. If you die too much too earily you're behind the gun in a big way. Players who do not pull out or retreat soon enough are just feeding the other team gold and experiance. Also players who do not work together Vs teams that do are more likely to die! I'm hoping as player skill goes up, will see more changes of swing states but lets be honest even in RTS games typically you have have come backs and
From my testing the OP's suggestion works for multiplayer LAN play, but not for internet play. There also apears to be 3 seperate pools for favor: Multiplayer Internet Multiplayer LAN Single Player

In WC3 you can host a game with a dedicated root server if you run tools like GHost++ (i do that, and the server run'
